Ratings & Reviews for Westinghouse iGen12000DFc Remote Electric Start 240 Volt 12000 Starting / 9000 Running Watt Gas and Propane Dual Fuel Inverter Generator

Carries a load.

Just installed it. So far so good. It easily carries the whole house (only 2.3kw load). I tried it on my EV 6, charging it at 240v 7.5 kw, which maxed it out, but it carried it. I'm impressed. Easy to start, and quiet.

Bought it for off grid RVing and house backup. Have other Westinghouse generators and this one did not disappoint.

Meets our needs plus some.

Very satisfied with the generator. We had one 3 hour power outage so far. Simply hooked the generator to the 50 AMP connector we had installed for the house. It ran everything we needed- well pump, lights, 2 refrigerators and a freezer, internet and fans. Very quiet. I feel we’re well prepared for an extended outage as we’ve experienced in previous hurricane seasons.

Superb generator

Started right up! Haven’t had to use it for a full outage yet, but it powered everything we needed seamlessly and effortlessly. This generator is extremely quiet and it’s compact design makes storage easy and convenient.

Quiet and powerful. 5 sec fire up first time!

Works great and quiet for its size. Paired with a Generlink and soft start on my 3 ton AC and it ran my house no problem. It is HEAVY so be prepared for it!

Powerful and quiet

So far so good. Powerful and quiet generator. Hopefully will suit my needs just fine.

Good generator so far.

So far, this generator has run well, started easy and done what I needed it to do. I have had a number of shutoffs from the CO detector, even in pretty wide open areas, so I'm not sure if it's set too sensitive or what. Other than that, it's done a good job.

Happy I bought this

Build and ergonomics seem good and well designed. Documentation is clear, and manuals are provided unlike many products these days that are only online. Setup and build are simple. Comes with a very hefty wrench for the wheel install that will end up in my toolbox. The wheels themselves don't seem very sturdy considering the weight of the generator, time will tell how they hold up. I've only been breaking this in with low loads using propane so I can't speak to full operation or durability. If ...

Solid unit

So far so good. Arrived in good shape. Once I got the high-altitude jet changed, gas added, oil added and battery hooked up I attempted to start it. It fired as though it had been running just prior to my attempt. I was impressed. I need to do my break hours now. Like I said so far so good. Only reason not a 5 star is lack of run time to see if there are issues. I don't think there will be.

Excellent Generator

Purchased generator 1 week ago and very happy with it. Excellent features, easy setup and operating instructions.

Out of the box

Just opened box. Wheels, feet and handle easy to assemble. Oil capacity listed as a quart, but actually less leading to an overfill. Not sure which number is Serial Number. Otherwise seems nicely built can't wait to use it.

Sucks, company is crap customer service worse.

Faulty from the start tgey want you to ship it back with pallet it came on. No parts no service nothing. 2 grand in drain by Honda Yamaha. They last forever.

We'll find out!

Well, I bought 4 of these for my business so you'll see 4 reviews to get the bonus covers--all the same, so you can skip the other 3. They generally are quiet for the size of them. I purchased to power mobile office trailers. Think of RV's but with a lot more power requirements. As recommended, I set them all up, filled with oil, ran for about 5 hours at times with loads but most of the time just at idle. Hope that was enough. Changed the oil today and drained out a lot of metal fines. I ...

In process of testing

Just picked up inverter and read directions prior to starting. Had issues with gas line not being connected to bottom of the tank. The quality control department left the gas line disconnected. When I went to fill tank with gas, it went out the detached line all over garage floor. Not sure why it was not connected. Have not used inverter yet. Will do a test run in the next day or two. I ordered a dual fuel inverter/generator and they upgraded it to a tri fuel free of charge. Very nice of you guys to do that. Assembly was easy and I'm looking forward to using it. I really like that it has a 50 amp outlet. So far so good!

Easy setup

Easy to set up. Nice features. More impressive in person.

Excellent home back up generator. I wanted a generator that had a 50 amp outlet to run the AC, refrigerators, chest freezers, sump pump and lights in a house during power outage.

I ordered this about a week ago. So far, so good. Whisper quite compared to my old genny. Love the ease of use. The only complaint I have so far is that the threads on the provided oil funnel don't fit the threads on engine housing. They are 2 different sizes.

Great purchase!

We just bought this & be are very happy with it. This was a good buy

Great features

Looks well built and nice features. Boxed well. Easy to assemble
