Ratings & Reviews for Westinghouse WGen3600DFc Remote Electric Start 4650 Starting / 3600 Running Watt Gas and Propane Dual fuel Portable Generator

Many Thoughtful Features

There's a lot to like about this design ... electric start with a key-fob (along with an automatic choke on the engine); dual fuel, so a propane tank is an easy back-up; wheels and a folding handle ... pretty easy to move; a gas cut-off switch ... I like this because you don't have to drain the gas tank to run the carburetor dry. Also includes tools, engine oil, and all the hookup hoses for propane. There's also an oil fill-tube that is threaded. You screw it into the engine port and don't spill...

Easy to operate

Bought this generator to be prepared for hurricane season. Fired it up and it started right away and so far is running quite well. Much quieter than my old generator so that's an added bonus. Will update once we get into hurricane season but hopefully won't need it.

Solid Value, Some Compromises

it was easy to set up and the instructions were very clear. it started right up and ran smoothly. build quality is just okay. The bolts for the leg kit aren't welded square to the frame, so installing the legs is more fiddly than it needs to be. it came out of the box with a big scratch on the front right by the control panel. purely cosmetic, just a bummer.

Great all around generator for the campground

I did not have any issues with this generator, from the simple unpacking, putting the few items together, on up to starting it on first try! The instructions are top-notch - clear and concise and hard to make any mistakes. The electric start is simply the best, as i'm getting too old to be pulling the cord a dozen or more times which i had to do with my old one. I am glad i purchased it. I have not tried using LP yet, but I'm sure it will come in handy someday soon. I would highly recommend this...

Great features, remote start, solid unit

I purchased the generator to be able to power saws and other power tools to work on my new house before permanent power was connected. This generator fit the bill! It is well built, the dual fuel is useful, no fumes using propane and transporting the generator in my SUV.

Easy Start

Great generator. Has kept us up and running during this storm season

Does the Job

Have medication that needs refrigeration bought this generator for that reason because last year lost power for a few days...

Great Value

I bought this generator to protect our family home in Florida. We had two hurricanes that passed through our area last year. This resulted in lost food in the freezer and refrigerator after days of lost electricity. This generator will protect our investments and make us more comfortable.

A must for hurricane season

We had a huge generator with pull start. As we got older, we were less able to pull the starter cord. This one has the electric start and is much easier. The old one was really too big for our needs...this one is just right. So glad we bought it.

used 2 times in 1 year and stopped working

used 2 times in 1 year and stopped working. Now let's see if assistance works

Portable Generator

Great product for the price. We weren't prepared last year for hurricane Helene so this year we wanted to be prepared for the unexpected.

Solid

Haven't cranked it up yet, but I can tell it's a solid build, with no cheap components. It's on the heavy side, but I purchased the Westinghouse wheel kit and now moving it around is a piece of cake.

Great little generator

Replaced an older model with this one since i wanted the dual fuel capability, very happy with this little generator and was amazed how far away the remote start worked. Very fuel efficient for a traditional style open frame generator aswell

Westinghouse Generator

The generator was easy to assemble with the instructions given.

Convenient and Quiet

Very Easy to set up. Not too large. Quieter than most. Gas or Propane - good feature for hurricane season.

Exceptional power

Purchased to support my small RV. Has the endurance and power to operate all functions and requirements.

Only comes with one fob and doesn't have economy m

Ran both AC and microwave with ease could come with 2 fobs

Great power source

Runs like a top, easy start, plenty of power. Powers all my tools.
