What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this paint scraper for exceptional performance removing multiple paint layers, glue, and old finishes with minimal effort. The carbide blade stays sharp far longer than standard steel, reducing replacements and enabling clean, precise scraping without gouging. Reviewers highlight its effectiveness on wood siding, molding, windows, and metal, often outperforming sanding. The ergonomic handle with knob allows comfortable, controlled force, while the double-sided replaceable blade accesses tight spaces efficiently. Some note the end cap loosens occasionally, and a few mention blade chipping on nails requires careful use. Overall, most consider it an exceptional tool that justifies its investment.

Great tool for scraping paint from shiplap siding.

Would Recommend

Store has replacement blades in same size, I saw that a scraper at a competitor didn't have replacement blades. This product was also very reasonable.

Average to poor

Would Not Recommend

Did not function as advertised. Even with a lot of pressure it skipped over the paint instead of removing it

Good scraper. Just make sure you don't hit any nails. The older ones were beefier.

Fast & Efficient

Would Recommend

We were scraping paint from wall tile & it was taking forever! After this tool was bought we were done quickly. It takes elbow grease and pulling it toward you. We tried pushing at first with horrible results but pulling it toward us was very effective. My only complaint was it was so sharp we had to be careful not to take our plaster off too.

This paint scraper is awesome!

Would Recommend

I bought this scraper to scrape the paint off my son's sousaphone (tuba for the uninformed). He plays in the marching band with a 50 year old instrument with countless layers of paint on it. I tried sanding at first, but to due past layers of enamel and who knows what else from kids hands, the sandpaper would gum up immediately. This scraper works like a dream, so well that when I first tried it, I just couldn't stop. The instrument looks so much better now and I haven't even painted it yet! Pho...

Warner scraper

I used it to remove stomp close to the wall so I can install crown moulding. Works fantastic. Didn't even need to dampen the stomp first.

Good product! Has carbide steel blade which is very sharp and stays that way. I use it for scraping excess dried glue from woodworking joints. Excellent.

Gets the Job Done, requires Elbow Grease

Would Not Recommend

If you want a cheap scraper, this will fit the bill. It's very light (heavier would make scraping easier), the knob at the top-front will twist (retighten the screw to stop that). The blade is quite solid, and if you keep at it, you'll scrape the paint off. This is a good cheap option, but a heavier-duty one would be worth the money for any medium sized project.

Expensive. But worth it for bigger jobs

Would Recommend

A sharp scraper is great but most hardened steel scapers dull petty quickly when faced with really old hardened paint ... Carbide is simply much harder and keeps an edge longer. A true joy

sturdy tool

Would Recommend

blade is heavy duty, comes with on-board screw driver tip in handle to change the blade, though i don't see it wearing out too quickly. when screwdriver tip is removed, easily attaches to a paint extension pole, great for reaching ceilings!

Used for only a few minutes and the blade breaks

Would Not Recommend

Used for a few minutes on house and it breaks, bought new blade and it did the same thing. I have wood siding and was trying to scrape it to paint , of course there are going to be a few nails above the wood. But I hammered the ones in that were out to far. Have been using another brand that is simular and it is doing great. Would not recommend.

Awesome for Stripping Paint

Would Recommend

My fiancé and I bought a house and discovered that the previous owners had painted over the original varnished trim with latex paint and didn't sand beforehand. The paint has been bubbling and peeling, so before we can paint it the color we want, we have to scrape off what's already there....in four rooms. Ugh! This tool was awesome for the baseboard and window sills. The knob on top allowed us to use more pressure as we scraped. For anyone who hasn't used something like this before, it's a pul...

Really sharp and really strong

Would Not Recommend

It depends on the surface and what's being removed. It could be invaluable on something really flat and hard. In getting paint off an old, soft wood deck it took a lot of experimentation and a deft touch to avoid gouging out a lot of wood. On that it was not really superior to semi-flexible, much duller scrapers.

Best scraper I own.

Would Recommend

Cost quite a bit more that other scrapers, but worth ever dime. Blade stays sharp after much use. Pulls off many layers of paint much easier than any other scraper I have.

Scraper

Would Recommend

I actually did not use this particular item. However, I have used them in the past and they were excellent. I brought this one back simply because I did not need it. Instead, I wound up using coarse sanding materials as well as replacing some of the wood. There was nothing wrong with it at all and if I need one again I will purchase this one. I just did not need it this time.
