Kept clogging

I brought the sprayer. The sprayer kept clogging up. I use a paint thinner to thinning it. It didn’t work well it kept clogging and I changed the nozzles over to make a wider spray. It was still cloudy up.. I then try using the primer part of the spray to spray my fence to climate it just kept clogging. I washed it. I even trying to spray it. Just wanted to clean out the nozzle. It just didn’t work well for me.

Flexio 3500 & Wagner Control Pro 170

I purchased the Flexio 3500 a short time ago and haven’t used either one of the two of them. I purchased the Control Pro 170 a year or so ago and used it to spray paint our kitchen cupboards. The 170 worked well with our latex paint, no thinning required (right out of a 5 gallon bucket). Learning curve, I sprayed the hanging doors and drawers outside. I had an issue with overspray and machine cleanup. The coverage was great without runs. Wagner has always produced a quality product.

I'm not experienced with HVLP sprayers, so I had some problems in the beginning that were my fault. After using this sprayer to paint two medium size projects- a trailer, and siding on an addition on my garage- I had the kinks worked out developed a decent rhythm. Halfway through the third medium project -siding on an addition on my house, I was high on a ladder and the motor just stopped working. I would climb down, mess with the cord, and sometimes the motor would start back up. After troubles...

Fine for DIY

I've used automotive HVLP guns, this is a little different but it's latex paint so of course. Doing my kitchen with Valspar primer it did okay. You definitely need to thin it with water quite a bit, I saw videos that suggested you may not need to. Nope, definitely thin it 10%. Once it was thinned it still goes on a bit splattery, spend the $10 on a face mask and wear some eye protection, getting a rogue paint drop in your eye is not awesome. Just Spatters Paint Requiring Fast Backrolling

The first time I used this (Vaspar primer) it worked fine -- for the first coat. After that coat, I took the unit apart and cleaned it. There wasn't a spec of primer anywhere. It sprayed clear water... 3x. I come back 30 min later for coat number two and it's now spattering paint... same setting. So I quickly backrolled it... thankfully I had the stuff to do so. Fine Surface Finish Easy to Clean
