Would Not RecommendI bought these to secure a shed. I have fairly rocky soil. I was only able to get 1 out of 4 in the ground after 3 hours of attempts. I destroyed 3 of them in the process. I was twisting so hard with a 6' steel pipe that I unraveled the corkscrew shape and stretched it out making it useless. Most of the attempts resulted in the anchor just acting like an auger and I'd end up with a hole in the ground after 8 inches and could easily lift it out with 1 finger. My back is still sore 10 days later (...
The BEST anchors
These Vortex anchors are the BEST anchors I’ve used. I have gotten them before and now again, when those other type with a single screw don’t dig in these seem to grab and take hold. I don’t bother with anything else now!

Would RecommendI bought these to anchor my new shed and also to use as high wind tie downs for it as well. Screwed in very well and with my shale rich soil they went in fairly easy. You'll need a pry bar or piece of rebar to screw them in.

I used these to anchor a swingset. Swingset is now stable and the anchors work so much better than the anchors that came with the swingset.
Outstanding ground anchor
Would RecommendI bought 8 of these to help shore up a backyard shadowbox-style fence at a home we recently purchased. There was significant tension on these things and they don't lift; they don't budge at all. I've tried the 8" version of these as well. They just don't have the bite that these do, obviously. You're better off spending the extra money and getting the 16 inchers. They're worth it.

I like the spiral type of anchor as it goes into the ground much easier than the spade type of anchor. The ground appears to not be disturbed as much either and the holding power is better.
