Timer Does Not Work

Would Not Recommend

I bought 2 of these and set them up according to instructions. Both timers failed after only a few days. One timer froze and needed to be rest every other day in order to work. The other timer only switched sometimes on or off according to programing or froze altogether.

poor quality

I purchased two of these units. followed the instructions which were very straightforward. Charge the units, set the system time, set the on time, set the off time and ready to go. I checked each unit by manually turning on the lamp for each one. One functioned properly and one did not. I let them run through one cycle. One unit had a very fast blink time and was able to turn the lamp on and off, but the timer crystal was clearly off, it gained nearly 5 hours over a 24 hour period and thus was a...

works fine after reading the instructions

Would Recommend

I read and followed the instructions and was able to set this timer to turn on and off a light every day. Two months later it is still working fine. Only issue is that mine gains a few minutes every week. Found the instructions and re-set the time. Should be good for a while until the times get far enough off to be noticed. The previous mechanical timer was really noisy after a month. This one is quiet and works.

Complicated, but not impossible to program

Would Not Recommend

If you can't figure out how to program this thing, you're going to return it and give it one star. If you can figure out how to program this timer, you're going to feel like you've definitely accomplished something for the day. I tried to program this without the instructions and got no where. I then tried using the instructions. That worked for the most part, but the set mode times out fairly quickly so if you spend too much time thinking about something like "what time do I want the Christmas ...

Best Timer So Far!

Would Recommend

I took away one star because of its usability. Once we figured it out, it was a breeze! The directions were accurate, but it took waaaaay more than one hour for success. Plug it in and leave it overnight. Then, follow the directions on the back of the device. First, set the current time. Then, set the ON and OFF time. After that, it's all gravy!

Tried 2 of these and neither worked right

Would Not Recommend

The first wouldn't turn the lamp off even using the ON/OFF button. The second the programming was screwy (when setting times you couldn't see them) and the clock didn't run when it was set up finally so nothing happened.

Would not work, returned

Would Not Recommend

After purchasing this timer, I plugged it in for a few hours to charge the battery but it would still not activate the screen to set it up. No display at all. I took it back and was told another person had returned the same timer the day before because it also did not work.

Good timer, but...

Would Recommend

Normally I would give this timer a solid 5 stars but two of the four units we purchased occasionaly flash on, then off outside the time range I've set. Just a fraction of second but when you're not expecting it (like in the middle of the night), you get concerned about it causing a fire, etc. My security camera caught one last night for the first time - the CFL it was controlling flashed for 0.002 sec according to the camera, not long enough for an incandescent but apparently long enough for the...

Exactly What I Wanted

Bought this product several years ago from HD; at that time it had a different brand/manufacturer name. Liked it because it was simple to program and was reliable**. And it was inexpensive. // Recently, my wife and I identified a need for 5 more of this product. Found my original product was no longer sold by at HD nor available under the original brand/manuf name, except from private parties at unreasonably high prices. Using the model number (TM-064), I did an online search and found the timer...

Good product

Would Recommend

This digital timer is a breeze to use. It's easy to program and doesn't require a battery that some other digital timers do, My only suggestion to the company is to offer a similar timer with an outlet on each side. I had to reverse the entire electrical outlet to satisfy clearance issues. Or perhaps have a right or left outlet option. No big deal, however.

I and several family members tried for figure out how to progam this. Could not do it. Returned it for a mechanical timer, 1/4 the cost, which takes about 10 seconds to figure out and program.

Great purchase for our needs.

Would Recommend

We were looking for a timer to use for our outdoor lights. Because the cord was going into the garage plug this worked great. Be sure to note that it needs an adaptor for a three-prong conversion. Otherwise great value for what we needed.
