Would Not RecommendAs the title says: the bulb lasted 9 months. It wasn't on 24/7. It was used maybe 4~5hrs a day in my daughter's bedroom. For the price, I'd expect it to last YEARS....not months. The other Utilitech bulb is still working....so maybe I was just unlucky. In any case, I think I will go back to CFL bulbs....as they last about a year, burn about as much electricity, but are 1/5 the cost.
Poor survival rate
Would Not RecommendPurchased a couple of these over a six month period to replace incandescent lamps in use. Older incandescent lamps were lasting about three months. The LED lamps have lasted about a year. Considering I could buy decent incandescents for a buck a pop and these cost $25.00 each they lose any cost advantage given the short lifetime. It makes me glad I purchased multiple cases of incandescents as the lifetime cost for using LED's or CFL's will strip the gears of the wallet when compared to incandesc...
Had to try one
Would Not RecommendWe bought one to of these to try out an LED light about 12 months ago. As advertised at 25000 hours the LED would last until we died if it was under normal use and should have lasted about 34 months if it was on 24/7. You can do the math. The LED was in fact on less than 4 hours per day or 1460 hours of its advertised life. That is roughly 6% of its advertised life. An incandescent bulb usually lasts that long. Well this LED is dead. I out lived it easily. If you buy this I would plan on keeping...
Did not last.
Would Not RecommendPurchased this bulb, it stopped working within a week. Not good for a $9.00 bulb.

Pricey and burn out within a few months
Would Not Recommendburns out in 7 months with light use which means about 800 hrs not 25000 - this product is so bad it prompted me to create an account just so i can write a review - wish i could get my money back from lowes
Good idea
Would Not RecommendUnfortunately one of several bulbs failed after less than six months of a "lifetime" life rating. When replacing bulbs (which should never be necessary) in the same fixture make sure you match the color temperature. Lowe's replaced the bulb under warranty, excellent customer service.

Great Replacement Bulb
Would RecommendI am in the process of replacing most of my household lighting with LEDs and usually buy a coulple bulbs whenever I am at Lowes. This is a Great LED bulb for saving energy and also for putting a brighter light in a lower wattage fixture. As with all LED lighting the only "Con" would be the price, but this specific bulb is consistantly lower in price than even others of the same brand. Time will tell if they really live up to their 25,000 hour durability claim. I

LED 7.5-watt 450 Lumens
Would RecommendMuch brighter than expected - bought three more. No heat generated, so it'll go in recessed ceiling fixtures without a problem. I'm gradually (due to the expense) replacing all those squirrelly bulbs.

7.5-Watt (40W) A19 Med Base Warm White LED Bulb
Would RecommendNice looking build. Warm light without generating any noted heat in the small bathroom that 3 bulbs were used in vanity. Price seems to be a bit steep, but predicted lifetime is long, so I guess it all comes out in the end.

White, Bright LED Bulb
Would RecommendI have nothing but praise for this LED bulb. While it says its light is roughly equivalent to a 40-Watt incandescent bulb, i found it produces a brighter, more white light. This bulb totally vindicates my decision to skip the hazardous, mercury-filled compact florescent bulbs. My only complaint is with the packaging of this LED bulb, which I found very difficult to open.

Much brighter than expected!
Would RecommendSince the majority of LED bulbs are SO expensive, I wasn't sure this one be very good. However I've been VERY pleasantly surprised. It provides 'full' coverage in all directions (up and down). Provides full intensity immediatly, which is so much better than the spiral it replaced. Seems much brighter than a 40 watt. And the price just can't be beat for a bulb of this quality & output. Can't wait to replace more bulbs w/these! :)

Let their be light...
Would RecommendI bought this light bulb because it was on sale and liked the longevity projection of it. I absolutely love the light that it emits and the bulb does not get hot no matter how long it has been on. I loved it so much I went back and bought several more. I plan on changing out my other bulbs to this as they need replacing.copperc

No Heat or Headaches...
Would RecommendMy wife suffers from nasty headaches when CFLs are being used, and the location where I placed these LEDs, there is a total of 9 (yes, NINE) bulbs that go into that fixture. With 9 incandescent bulbs it would pump out a bunch of heat, which I hated. So, to meet my requirement of being cooler (CFLs would do that) and not give my wife headaches (CFLs again, would give her those) we had to find a different solution. LEDs do meet that build. The build on the bulbs are hearty and have a good feel to...

great value, quality led light
Would Recommendok, this was about my fifth one of these lights, and only the first real disappointment. mind you. it was not the bulb, only the application. if you are using a can light or track light, something the bulb screws into and recesses, it is awesome, great quality and quantity of light, too. however, if using in a fixture which really should have a bulb that is almost 360 degree of illumination, this bulbs 180 degree pattern can fall somewhat short, almost illuminates in a dome pattern, you get a da...
