The extra cost for Trex is worth it.
Would RecommendThis material is easy to work with for layout and cutting to size. The clips keep spacing equal and holds the material in place. The drawback to this material is having to flatten the ends of the boards prior to installing. Sitting to long on a rack causes (I believe) the ends to curve up. Apply heat to the ends, add weight until cooled down. Overall, Trex is easy to use and looks great.

Damaged boards.
1 damaged board was noticed upon loading. When I got home, I noticed 2 other boards deeper in the stack were also scratched and gouged. It wasn’t noticeable when the order was loaded, only after the bundle was unstrapped and boards were taken off the top.

Would RecommendThe boards are exactly as we expected. The color is consistent from board to board even though we purchased the boards from three stores. We haven't installed the boards yet, so I can't comment on their performance in weather.

Some inconsistent grooves
Some of the boards seem to be reject’s or not consistent in terms of the grooves. There supposed to be narrow on one side to hold the clips and wider on the other so the clip slides into the next board. Well some of these boards have wide grooves on both sides which makes installation a little more challenging.
