Ratings & Reviews for Trex Transcend 2-in x 6-in x 20-ft Medium Square Composite Deck Board
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the composite decking for exceptional durability, realistic wood-like appearance, and low maintenance. Reviewers consistently describe boards as heavy, dense, and built to last decades, with many noting their decks remain in excellent condition after years of sun and rain exposure. The material resists rot, warping, and fading without annual staining or sealing. Customers appreciate the authentic wood texture, rich colors, and comfortable, non-slip surface. Installation is straightforward, especially with compatible fasteners and long 16-foot lengths. A small number report minor color inconsistency or heat retention, but most consider the durability and maintenance-free nature well worth the investment.

I ordered 16’ and 20’ in the Tiki Torch and the 16’ are beautiful. The 20’ almost look like they are something different even though my receipt says they are the same. For the price you pay for the Tiki Torch Transcend. You should be getting the same beauty.

Transcend composite decking
Would RecommendThe color is just what I wanted, not too dark, not too light. It matches very closely to the composite stair treads already on my porch steps. Twenty footers are very floppy. Two of the decking boards came with slight damage. I have seen other brands of composite decking that seem to be harder and better quality.

Great, low maintenance substitute for wood
Would RecommendBoards are high quality, with wood-like grain, and have a great appearance when installed. Perfect replacement for wood 2 x 6 's. Boards were not as straight or flat as expected. Very expensive.

Helps avoid multiple joints in pattern
Very long board for avoiding having multiple joints. Makes the edge look clean as I was able to keep it continuous.

Easy to use for steps. They secure down with deck screws for composite. Be sure to pre-drill your holes to get a clean look.

Great material
Would RecommendGreat boards with a great finished surface on all sides. Boards are more dense and are more flexible than wood. Also be aware you may want a trex router bit to cut in a groove if you are using the trex hidden fasteners. We didn't have the router bit so we made do cutting the groove using a table saw.
