[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my sample of Transcend Havana Gold Deck Board. It is such a sturdy and well-constructed bit of board. I know it will make a great deck! Havana Gold is a lighter brown (medium-light, but still definitely brown; not at all tan). The construction is solid and should make for a great deck for years to come.

Everything I Want for My Deck

The 25-year warranty, natural grain pattern, and 95 percent recycled material content is enough to convince me. But it also features easy cleanability, a non-slip surface, and fade and mildew resistance. Best of all, never will I need to stain, paint, or replace boards. Worth every penny!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this sample to test. This product is awesome. I can only imagine how beautiful it would look on an entire deck. The product is very sturdy and would probably last for years. It is looks just like wood grain. It is heavyweight. The tongue and groove assembly will make it very easy to install. The Havana gold color is a realistic medium wood stain color. Definitely a great option for a maintenance-free deck!!

Trex Transend Island Mist Decking

Liked it so much on our new deck that I have decided to replace all of the railing on my other deck with the same. The old wood took a beating in the sun, but the Trex holds up and keeps its color.

Color Problems Ruining Deck Look

I am using Trex in a 1000 ft sq deck job. I decided on Trex Transcend Island Mist. A third of the way through I started running into boards that have serious coloration discrepancies with the rest of my deck. My vendor contacted the Trex rep to address the issue and two days later, nothing. I am stuck waiting. The product might be good, but color quality control is very poor. See attached photo. Great product but $96 for a 16 foot board?

Trex is a great product but what is Lowe's thinking selling this color at $6 per linear foot? That's outrageous, hence the low rating.

It's solid heavy

Quality Deck Board

I like the color, though whether this color works for you will obviously depend upon a number of other factors. While It doesn't resemble real wood exactly (I wouldn't immediately mistake it for real wood), it does a good job resembling and approximating it but without the hassle and problems and maintenance that accompanies wood. Great product!

It is such a great product. A nice thick and heavy board that looks great as well. Can't beat this board. Would definitely use these boards on any other home projects that we decide to do in the future.
