What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this composite decking for its stunning wood-like appearance, exceptional durability, and minimal maintenance requirements. Reviewers consistently highlight the realistic grain, natural color tones, and elegant finish that exceed expectations in person. Many appreciate its resistance to rot, warping, and insect damage, plus easy cleaning with just a hose. The hidden fastener system delivers a seamless, professional look that most find worth the installation effort. A few note dimensional variations and minor warping, though these concerns are vastly outweighed by strong overall satisfaction.

Would RecommendWe have two decks, both built about 20 years ago. The framing is solid, but the decking was in very bad shape on both decks. We tried extending the life with paint. They needed new paint every year. the deck was just under 16 feet with one small area just under 8 feet wide. The 16 foot length would work and there would be no butt joints. This avoids one issue of having to scab boards on either side of every butt joint so the fasteners are not too close to the end. We considered putting a c...

They are great but....
Would RecommendI was using 8’ and 12’ boards for my 20’ ft wide deck. The 8’ and the 12’ aren’t quite the same size. The 12’ is just slightly higher than the 8, and the 8 is just slightly wider than the 12. This wasn’t just on a couple of boards, it was all of the,. Can’t get a perfect seam but it’s darn close. I can tell because I know they don’t quite match up, but others will probably not notice it, unless they are really inspecting the deck. Yes, I do recommend these boards. Just don’t use an 8’ and...

Looks amazing!
Would RecommendWe are very happy with our new decking, it looks great, especially with the hidden fasteners. It is very hot in the sun (too hot for bare feet!) but it is so nice to not ever have to worry about resurfacing it! Definitely worth it!

You could install the deck boards all by yourself
Would RecommendYou need to align and clamp both ends and put the fasteners in from one end to the other. One person could install the entire deck. I did 16 x 12 deck, including pulling the old boards, in 2 days.

A Learning Experience
Well, lemme tell ya, I just finished resurfacing my deck, and I'm pretty pleased with it. I'm not a professional, but I'm fairly handy. I learned a ton while doing this, I only wish that Trex shared these tips instead of me figuring them out on my own. Yes, they provide instructions, the customer service people were helpful, but you don't know what you don't know. I did this by myself, and certainly it would have been easier had I had a helper. - Some of the things that I learned: - - The h...
