What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the durability, beautiful appearance, and ease of installation. Most highlight the realistic wood-like texture, low-maintenance design, and long-term value, noting it resists splinters and rotting. Many find it easy to cut and install with standard tools, with some completing large decks in a single day. A few report issues with warping, curled ends, or board swelling at fastener points, and some mention heat retention in direct sunlight. Overall, reviewers consider it a superior alternative to wood despite minor quality concerns.

Better than wood for Canaan Valley, WV
Would RecommendBought a small place with old, deteriorating, very small decks. Did the porch with same footprint. Tore off back deck, expanded it to use 16’. Easy to work with. Husband had them done in a couple days per. Next up: a walkway leading to a back deck off Sunporch. Definitely the way to go whether harsh winters or extreme temperatures. Used Clamshell.
Clam Shell holding up strong 💪 Built for those tough conditions—love hearing this 💚 Brandi -Trex Customer Care

Does the Job
Would RecommendWe have an 80-foot deck along the backside of her house that we have been putting in for a couple years now, the 16 ft trex, warped and curled up on the edges. They were stored properly and installed properly with a huge French drain underneath. We have had to replace approximately 20 pieces and alternate them with the bad pieces so the deck looks good and works well. The warranty offered is not a very good warranty, we know the deck will be better than it wooden with less maintenance. However d...

Ease of use.
This was my first time using this type of product. I’ve always used lumber for building. This was easy to cut, easy to put screws through and a lot more uniform than lumber. I looked at redwood and compared prices, of not just the initial cost but that of maintenance as well. This product is worth every penny.
