Ratings & Reviews for Trex Enhance Basics 1-in x 6-in x 12-ft Clam Shell Composite Deck Board Grooved/Scalloped

What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this composite decking for its rich, consistent coloration and modern aesthetic, with many noting it outperforms traditional wood. Reviewers consistently highlight the ease of installation, particularly with hidden fastener systems, and emphasize durability—many report decks looking new after years of use. The low-maintenance nature and long-term value justify the higher upfront cost for most. A few mention the surface becomes very hot in direct sunlight, and some report isolated board damage, but these concerns are minimal compared to widespread satisfaction.

Beware measurements not accurate!
Would Not RecommendThese planks are 5.5 wide, not 6", as stated everywhere, including in the paperwork when you place the order. You have to go under specification to see them listed, and they are listed in two ways in two locations.. Common Measurement (T x W)1-in x 6-in Actual Width (Inches) 5.5 I paid for the delivery of these boards and then was one short, and now HD wants to charge me $79 to deliver one board. I will have to get it delivered to pickup and then find someone with a truck to help me pick it u...

Poor material condition
Would Not Recommendboards were delivered with what seems like cement in the grooves. Terrible condition. Even after 3 cleanings with a broom and 2 powerwashings, still not clean.

Great product
Would RecommendI used the TREX deck to cover a patio cover top since we don't stand on it and I'm tired of painting it every 6 years due to the harsh sunlight. They are easy to work with and look great. Picking up this time was a pain. In store communications poor, had to wait 25 minutes without anyone telling me where they went to find my pick up item.
