I replaced all of the horizontal boards (>1500 board feet) on my deck, including stairs with Trex Transcend. I simple got tired of re-staining the wood every 2-3 years. I stained all of the vertical wood to come close to the appearance of the Trex. I did all of the work by myself. I thought installation was relatively easy. Top quality product that will beautify our deck for years to come -- no worries ... it should outlast us.

Useful when picking a color for larger projects

It did the trick, but took extra effort to get it. These sample boards a useful when trying to choose a color for larger jobs. I bought them after I set up a consultation, sponsored by Lowe's, for a deck. Two weeks later, I received a call from the Lowe's contracting desk to tell me they no longer provide these services.

As much as this cost it had alot of scratches and imperfections

Great looking deck

Finished product comes out looking really nice. Just make sure you order plenty of the PVC plugs to conceal the screws ahead of time. Rope Swing is a color that sells fast and availability is sometimes difficult.

Beautifully crafted!

Great Sample!

Another great choice

This sample showed me the quality of the material. It showed me it will last my life time and it showed the color brilliantly. After getting this I put it side side to another sample to pick color. It made it so easy.

Great color and solid plank

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this sample recently and am leaning towards redoing my dining room in this color and material. The sample would give the dining room a rustic sort of feel to it and become more "homey". The material seems solid and strong which is what we will need since we are on an old foundation. The color and natural look is what sold me on redoing my dining room.

Exactly what we want

Very durable and color is great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This decking was super heavy duty. I was surprised at how heavy just the small section I received was. It was very durable which seems like it would for sure hold up nicely in any weather. I also loved the color. It was almost a bluish gray which would look great with the color scheme I am going for with my house. Will definitely have nice curb appeal.
