It is a very sturdy piece with a beautiful color. The sample also has a nice texture and finish that one would want for a deck. It looks to be of very good quality.

From drab to Shab

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow...better than what I thought. I can wait to start on my new deck! These boards are well made and are reasonably priced. They are thick, water resistant, easy to install and made to last! My deck is going to be my new favorite place to be. I love the color I choose. (The have several to pick from) I am sure that though out the years I will have to repair and replace things in my house but my deck will not be one of those.

Nice looking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a sample of this to see if it's something we may consider. I like the color but would choose something more in a brown. We live in the North and get alot of snow, not sure how this would be to walk on with the ice and slippery conditions we get. It's very thick not a flimsy piece of decking.

Trex Transend Island Mist Decking

Liked it so much on our new deck that I have decided to replace all of the railing on my other deck with the same. The old wood took a beating in the sun, but the Trex holds up and keeps its color.

Color Problems Ruining Deck Look

I am using Trex in a 1000 ft sq deck job. I decided on Trex Transcend Island Mist. A third of the way through I started running into boards that have serious coloration discrepancies with the rest of my deck. My vendor contacted the Trex rep to address the issue and two days later, nothing. I am stuck waiting. The product might be good, but color quality control is very poor. See attached photo. Great product but $96 for a 16 foot board?

Trex is a great product but what is Lowe's thinking selling this color at $6 per linear foot? That's outrageous, hence the low rating.

High quality deckboard

The weight of the trex board was heavy and I feel like it would maintain its integrity for a very long time period. The color was beautiful and the grain in the Trex looks like real wood and is very comfortable to step on.
