Transcend Island Mist

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Trex - Transcend 1 ft Sample - Island Mist, and not only is it a breeze to assemble, put together, but the sizing is on point, the color is beautiful, and the texture is eye appealing. I hope to find larger pieces of this for when we move!!

Great color

It seems heavy and seems durable, but when you look at the back side and edges, it appears to only be pressed wood. There is a very thin top layer for the look and I wish it was somewhat deeper. Hopefully this board is treated in some way, so that it lasts a long time. I don’t know how long it will last once the weather gets to it. It doesn’t look like much protection against water. Ove...

Beautiful colors and durable materials

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received just one 1-ft piece, so I wasn't able to try it as an actual deck. The color is beautiful and the material looks very sturdy and durable. It's light enough to install yourself and looks super easy to install.

Bulletproof

These are amazingly dense and correspondingly heavy. However, I suspect that these will be around longer than the treated lumber that they are installed on. They have a very nice embossed wood grain texture and look that also serves as a slip-resistant finish. I chose the solid planks because I was building stairs and needed the solid edge instead of the hidden fasteners on the stair treads. Versatile composite

The multi-colored tones and wood grain texture better mimic natural wood but it is more durable and has a much lower maintenance cost. You should pick this product if you plan on staying in the location you are installing it. The value of this product continues to grow the longer you are able to use it. You are more likely to get tired of the style before this decking need...

Not really my style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this sample to see if I would like to use it in my home. While the sample itself was of good quality, it was not what I would use in my home we are building. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because of the quality. Maybe others have and might even have used this, I cannot see us doing so.

Love Trex

Being from a construction family who built decks using only Trex and have trex on our own deck i know the beauty and durability of this product. Trex boards out weigh traditional wood deck boards hands down.

Excellent Deck Sample!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent deck sample and I sincerely love the aesthetic texture of it. It's only a 1 feet sample item but the product can be used in a variety of ways. I'm currently using it as a small shelf space item on my wall. It can hold small books and other treasured items. It is not large enough or sturdy enough to hold televisions or full-size stereo systems but it can hold small computer speakers. The nature of this material is faux wood....
