Ratings & Reviews for TREX Select 1-in x 6-in x 16-ft Saddle Composite Deck Board

Always looks dirty

I have a large deck made with Winchester grey tree decking. I’ve had it for a year. It is impossible to clean. When the sun is shining on it , it looks so dirty. The dirt stays in the grains of the wood. Power washing doesn’t work. Scrubbing it with a brush doesn’t work. So it always looks dirty. I have grey decking on the other 2 tiers and it looks clean always. We had our home built last year and ordered grey decking with a black border. One day during construction we stopped by and the dec...

Deck boards

My deck is looking good now after replacing the rotting wood.

Look of wood

This board is rich looking and the price is right.

Worth the price

My in-laws started replacing the boards to their existing back deck that are bowing and splintering. We bought these composite boards years ago to start the project and bought the last load this past month to finish the job. They are durable, last through all weather, are not bowing or bending when properly braced and are smooth to walk on. They are expensive but well worth the money when you figure how long they have lasted. We did find it a little difficult to drill into them with the screws s...

great product

great for deck and add their product for railings and have a maintenance free deck

Decking Made to Last

This product is so easy to work with and looks so professional . I am so happy with the end result and knowing I won't have to stain it next year is awesome !

worked great

Made a great railing cover. Originally had 2x6 and just covered it up, no more painting on a yearly basis.

Hard as wood but so much nicer...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Husband and sons love the color and feel. But this mom loves the easy cleaning. Best deck material we have ever had.

Durable and easy to care for

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Trex Saddle Deck Board is durable and easy to care for. While it has the appearance of wood it does not require the staining and upkeep that wood decks do.

Very dingy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The color was dull and had a white spot on it. If all the units look like this, I definitely would not be interested in building a deck from this material.

never going back to wood

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this product is one the best decking materials out there. this decking does not fade. it is easy to maintain. we only power wash it once a year and that is all that is required to keep it looking new. we have had no stains on it that could nto be removed. lots of color options. looks great. the only downside would be that at times it can be very hot to walk on when out in the summer heat. no splinters! worth the extra money to save...

Very durable

Nice looking sample

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of Saddle Deck Board to look at. I liked the color and the sample looked sturdy and it would last a long time. When it's time to do my deck, I will be checking out this product for my home.

Durable Yet Smooth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Saddle Deck Board Sample that I tried was a nice durable board. It was smooth with no splintering. I placed it on the ground and stood on it, and it was a strong board. I was also able to wipe it clean of any foot marks very easily. When I am ready to put my deck up I will definitely be using the Saddle Deck Boards.
