Good product, horrible installer
Would RecommendLowe’s “professional” installers did not know how to work with Trex boards. The boards warped and buckled soon after installation. Lowes did nothing about it. I contacted Trex and sent pictures; they said that the installation was not done correctly. “Professional” installers should know how to follow instructions instructions. Again, Lowes did NOTHING to rectify the situation. My $22,000 deck looks like crap.

Would RecommendI find it interesting that the majority of reviews here are from free samples and/or promotions. I bought approximately 30 boards of both 1x6 and 2x6 solid Trex in 12' and 16' lengths for an elevated combination stairway & deck. My biggest surprise was that many of the boards were already warped when I received them, and several of them had numerous bird droppings that I could tell had been there quite a while. Trex Deck Boards
Would RecommendTrex is hard as nails. It takes a lot of abuse, and keeps its color. What I found that is a major weak point is that over time it curls up at its sides. My installation has hidden retainers every twelve inches. Far more than the recommended sixteen inch spacing. This curling allows rain water to pool on each board and in my location promotes algae growth. It still beats painted boards hands down. I just wish it didn't have that curling propensity.
