Ratings & Reviews for TREX Transcend 1-in x 6-in x 12-ft Tiki Torch Composite Deck Board

More cons than pro.

As beautiful as this product is in the beginning, it's not worth it in the end. If you are worried about scratches and stains, yes, this product will indeed scratch and stain. Yes, there is maintenance required on this product to keep it looking nice but once you scratch it or it gets stained, you are stuck with it unless you replace it. Not a simple case of going back over it with stain or using a wood filler or something of that nature. If you have used the hidden fastener system, be prepared ...

Looks Great easy to work with.

Doing a couple small porches onto our patio with this and it looks so neat.

But nobody said.......

Probably the best deck boards available on the market. I refurbished an existing upper deck and built another directly beneath, both about 12'x24'. Both decks have two "double picture frame" layout (didn't want any butt joints). My upper deck has been down for about three years with no fading or failure issues. Overall very pleased with outcome but..... What nobody told me: *12ft boards are 5.5" wide and 12'1.5" long. That length info would have been beneficial had I known in advance. *All...

Great Product

I have a 1200 square foot deck that I am redoing in sections with the Trex Trancend Island Mist. Similar to other composite products I have to work with the temperature and direct sun light have an impact on the length and even the width. Once you know this you work around it and it works. Very happy with final look of this product. Our front porch is the same material and it is holding up perfectly.

Better than wood

I never really knew Trex was not rigid like wood so it was a bit interesting getting it home on the roof of my SUV but it is well worth it.

Havana Gold Trex

It’s everything we wanted and more.

Trex Transcend

Looks great. Don’t know why I waited so long to try this. For a do it your self guy, I was a little nervous about trying Trex. It was worth the money.

Great Product

Used this for small decking purposes. Easy to work with.

Tree grooved composite in color “Spiced Rum”

Beautiful and tough with the Grooved sides enables use of hidden screw fasteners. The good stuff!

Deck Board Sample - Tiki Torch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Deck Board Sample was more than I expected. Meaning, the color when I placed it beside my exterior bricks matched perfectly. Creating or constructing a open deck with this Tiki Torch deck board material will set stability and give my home a upscale look. Talk about adding value to your home. The thickness of this product is exceptional. To me the surface seemed to be slip free. Meaning if wet you do not have to worry about slipping. Also ...

Feels Tough, Nice Color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After looking at, walking on, and spilling liquids on this deck board sample I would definitely consider it if I was in the market for new decking for our home. The thing I like the most is that the board itself is covered with a plastic-like cover, making it weatherproof. It also means no more cleaning and painting every year. It does resemble a real-life board but you can tell it is not. It appears to be made of a thick press board that is co...

I love this deck board!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent a piece of deck board. This color is a rich brown. It is very heavy. Very good quality. We have a yellow home. It looks nice. They advertise fade and stain resistance for 25 years. This is a high performance composite. It will make a beautiful deck!

Slip-free, durable, easy clean, long warranty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Maintenance free finish, slip-free safety, durability, recycled materials, and the 25-year guarantee against fading and staining are especially important to us. The heavy Trex Transcend Deck Board has deep snap-together grooves for secure assembly and will provide the features we need as well as enhancing the looks and usefulness of our current unfinished wood deck. Debris washes off easily with a hose, and rainwater sweeps off easily. To te...

Nice size sample

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Color of the sample is very true to picture and description. It is an ample size to assess the weight, quality and projected durability of the deck board.

Sturdy and well made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the sample of Transcend Tiki torch deck board. Its solid and sturdy I would have to no fear of it warping. I love the 25 year limited warranty on no fading! The fact its made out of 95% recycled material is awesome. You can not tell by the way its made. The detail in the wood grain is awesome. The only way to tell the difference between real wood and the deck board is by stepping on it. The deck board is smoother then wood and ...
