Yes, there is maintenance required on this product to keep it looking nice but once you scratch it or it gets stained, you are stuck with it unless you replace it. Would RecommendI have a 1200 square foot deck that I am redoing in sections with the Trex Trancend Island Mist. Similar to other composite products I have to work with the temperature and direct sun light have an impact on the length and even the width. Once you know this you work around it and it works. Very happy with final look of this product. Our front porch is the same material and it is holding up perfectly.

It looks nice. They advertise fade and stain resistance for 25 years. This is a high performance composite. It will make a beautiful deck!

Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a very durable board. It doesn't scratch easily, nor splinter easily either. It's a very dense quality. Appears to have a good UV coating. Very heavy weight per foot. I believe that you'd have to have a very sturdy frame to accommodate this material.
