Great material

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ learned more about decking and was really interested in this material sample to build my own deck in the near future. Just by this one sample I received , I can tell it’s of good quality, but I would still have slip concerns with this material rather than traditional wood decking. I would have to see a whole deck built with this material to really put it to the test.

Sturdy and well made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently replaced our deck and were looking to use Trex for the top rail just to avoid splinters from wood and give us a place to set things that's more smooth and level. The hardest part is finding the right color. This color will not quite work for us but it was so nice to have a sample size to test rather than spending the money on a whole board. Overall very pleased with this.

Sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was much sturdier than I had expected. It was very thick and very heavy duty. I was impressed with the coloring as well. Seems to be and easy to assemble together product also.

Beautiful color!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trex is the way to go! After battling my wonderful natural wood decks for the past 10 years, I give up. Trex has so many more color choices now and they look so much richer once installed, I have to say...NO MORE WOOD! And from a distance, they look as natural as the real thing...but it is a man made product, so it's always going to declare itself as such! The trade off is worth it! My decks are beautiful!

1ft. Spiced rum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the color of this product and the texture we are planning on building a new deck next spring and we were not sure what kind of material to use but after seeing how durable your materials are we have made a decision to use your product.

Very sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off I was very surprised how sturdy this product was. It was heavier than I expected, but I feel like it will be able to withstand the elements. The color is a nice rich dark brown with no major color gradient changes. I like the texture that makes it more authentic looking. This color and texture is easy to clean, the grooves are too deep and it's dark enough to hide most dirt and mud.

Beautiful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trex Transend is a beautiful deck material. I was surprised at the weight and heft of the sample. Our sample of Spiced Rum is a rich brown color with some darker tones and woodgrain that give a very natural look. This stuff is solid! I can see why it won't fade, stain, or scratch. No maintenance, just hose it off. I'm afraid it will outlast my house. Being 95% recycled materials is great for the environment too.

Beautiful wood look

Great Look

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has rich dark tones and colors and the markings in it are just awesome and gives it a older look but with new look combined rustic maybe but you will be pleased with coloors and undertone colors I love it

Beautiful Finish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're going for that "classic" look for your deck or patio this is the finish you're looking for. And not only does it look great for your yard, but it also repels those pesky elements like rain and mud.

More cons than pro.

As beautiful as this product is in the beginning, it's not worth it in the end. If you are worried about scratches and stains, yes, this product will indeed scratch and stain. Yes, there is maintenance required on this product to keep it looking nice but once you scratch it or it gets stained, you are stuck with it unless you replace it. Not a simple case of going back over it with stain or using a wood filler or something of that nature. If you have used the hidden fastener system, be prepared ...

Beautiful, Strong, and Long Lasting!

Built my back deck with the entire Trex Transcend Composite Deck Boards! It looks beautiful and the best part is the hidden hardware. There are no nail/screw holes showing because the hardware fits within the grooves! I can also put full faith in the longevity of the deck because I know the composite material wont rot! Would buy again and I recommend it to anyone else who wants a high quality deck!

Looks Great easy to work with.

Doing a couple small porches onto our patio with this and it looks so neat.

But nobody said.......

Probably the best deck boards available on the market. I refurbished an existing upper deck and built another directly beneath, both about 12'x24'. Both decks have two "double picture frame" layout (didn't want any butt joints). My upper deck has been down for about three years with no fading or failure issues. Overall very pleased with outcome but..... What nobody told me: *12ft boards are 5.5" wide and 12'1.5" long. That length info would have been beneficial had I known in advance. *All...
