Fantastic Durable Board!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received the sample board of Transcend Spiced Rum Deck Board I was immediately struck with the solid and heavy feel of it. This is no ordinary board! A medium shade of brown, it's finished with realistic wood grain all along the course. The grooves along the side of the board suggest a tightly locked way of creating a very solid and beautiful deck. This is an exciting option for a well-constructed deck!

Beautiful Quality Decking

Trex Transend Island Mist Decking

Liked it so much on our new deck that I have decided to replace all of the railing on my other deck with the same. The old wood took a beating in the sun, but the Trex holds up and keeps its color.

Color Problems Ruining Deck Look

I am using Trex in a 1000 ft sq deck job. I decided on Trex Transcend Island Mist. A third of the way through I started running into boards that have serious coloration discrepancies with the rest of my deck. My vendor contacted the Trex rep to address the issue and two days later, nothing. I am stuck waiting. The product might be good, but color quality control is very poor. See attached photo. Great product but $96 for a 16 foot board?

Trex is a great product but what is Lowe's thinking selling this color at $6 per linear foot? That's outrageous, hence the low rating.

Nice option for long term

I left the sample outside during a few crazy rainstorms to see if it would hold up or weather. I even had my dog chew on it for a bit to see how strong it was. It seems to hold up amazing. The one issue i do have is that the wood looks extremely fake. It doesn't have any authentic look to it. Heavy duty with great color

The color was true to the picture. It did feel a little slippery under the foot of a sock... but I don't imagine walking too often in socks on the deck. I found it to match the outside of my front yard and the quality seems to be good so far. It'd be good to see how it performs.

Great looking trex

There is so much texture (looks like real wood thats just been stained). The color is beautiful , i love that its got parts that are darker. Worth it’s weight!

Built tuff - Quality stuff!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Impressed by the way this is put together. holding a blank in your hand would give you confidence that this isn't some cheap material that will deteriorate over time. You do give up a little bit in the way it looks, but from 3-4 feet away its indistinguishable from real wood. Not to mention the advantages it has against real wood (no need to seal or take care of it - e.g. spills etc.).

Beautiful Decking Option

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an impressive alternative to wood decking material. The color is rich and goes all the way through, and the material itself is very strong which indicates it would not warp readily. It is very pricey but, frankly, worth it considering how often I have had to replace my wood decking which takes a beating due to a full southern exposure. I would definitely opt for this next time I am ready to redo my deck.
