EASY TO USE AND VERY EFFECTIVE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Use behind the garage, this thing works great and is so easy to use. More efficient than others I have bought in the past, I feel as if I can count on finding something in the traps almost every day. Simply great!

Easy and effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this a few weeks ago, have collected approximately 4 rodents. It was easy to bait set up and place. It closes with such Force I know it has done its job. Makes for fun times with my children. They like to go find where I put it to see what it caught.

Super strong and sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great snap trap, it is super sturdy and strong. Made very well with thick material. I really like how the little food cup can be accessed from under trap. So far I have caught one in my garage with it. Works awesome. The packaging has clear and easy to read instructions.

Very easy to use

I really like that you can load it through the top without the trap actually being cocked, because I really wouldn't want this one to accidentally catch me... Very effective trap with a well thought out design.

Easy set up

Tomcat Rat snap

I found the trap to be easy to use and very affective. It was made well and easy to setup I would recommend this to anyone that has a problem with Rats

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought for a barn, caught two in first week. Used cheese as bait if all things lol. Will use again as needed. I’ve used tomvat mouse traps in the past with some luck so figured we Might as well give this a go, glad we did.

Extremely affective rat trap.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So my mother Inlaw lives in the city and has a rat problem so we got a couple of the rat traps to see if they worked on these giant beasts and wahala trapped every time. Highly recommend. Plus you can reuse them ( I'm cheap) over and over. Plus it's easy to set up.

Perfect Size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Tomcat Rat Trap is the perfect size. Here in N.E. Georgia, the field mice are as big as some rats ! It is also refillable and reusable ! Easy to clean and easy to set-up also ! It is quite safe if you have kids around too ! All small Rodents beware !!

Effective and Easy to Set

Living near a shoreline with fish plants around, rodents are inevitable. We've been using the standard wooden rat traps and they worked for a while but the rats have wised up. They either don't go around the traps or know enough to eat the bait without setting it off. Since I've switched to these Tomcat snap traps I have caught 3 and haven't had any escape, one I only got by the nose but the trap is so strong he couldn't slip out. not very effective

I wish I could upload the videos my game camera shot of the rats and mice crawling over the traps night after night. Baited with fresh peanut butter I could see them all over the traps without them being triggered. These are the larger rat traps. Every now and then a rat would accidentally catch a paw and would then drag the trap away to die somewhere. Sometimes I would find the trap, sometimes not. The smaller mouse have never caught anything, ever.

Great product!

Very easy to use! I knew I had a rodent in my car due to the cold and the evidence of chewing on batting. I thought it was just a mouse cause I live in the country and have only seen mice. After setting several traps and none of them being triggered after 2 weeks I thought it was gone and then I saw it was actually a rat! Never seeing one outside of a pet store I was panicking and I knew I needed rat traps. Got these from fleet farm and placed them in my car and got the little jerk after having ...

Mehhh

They work if you can get it actually on the ground without snapping in your hand and throwing the bait at your face 10 times. It’ll take you about 10-15 min each time to set it , after much bloody fingers and reapplying pbutter etc.. With that said , it’s so sensative you can’t get it set, but the rodent licks off all the bait without it snapping . I give up.

Bait Cap Breaks Easily

Over the past three years I have probably gone through 10 traps. Although they do work, I have found that the bait cap that twists into the trap from underneath, breaks after a few uses and then will no longer twist into place and falls out. The most recent ones I bought broke after a few weeks of use. I don’t see anywhere that you can buy replacement caps, so now I have 10 non-usable traps.

These don't last. Poor mechanical design.

I bought two of these a week ago, and both have broken where the spring is attached to the jaw, after catching only one or two rats. All that holds the spring wire to the jaw is a little plastic hook on each side.

Does the job but not for long

I had high hopes for the Tomcat Snaptrap for rats and in my case chipmonks. As I said the trap does a good job when it holds together. I am now on my third trap in 6 weeks. The plastic innards of the traps does not hold up under continual use and I have a severe problem. I suggest that the company will strengthen the trap locking mechanism. It is made from plastic that doesn’t hold up to to the trap spring stress. On 30 kills and counting wish me luck. FT

Easy and Effective

This product is awesome. I know it seems expensive for a single trap, but it works perfect. Easy to empty and reset- no need to even touch where the rodent has touched. Super strong snap- glad your fingers don't go near that part- it could break your fingers.

Great Trap

Really like the removable bait cup. I use a hot glue gun to hold the bait in place. Otherwise they just lick some other baits off. If you have dogs and they got into dog food bring food in at nite so only what is in trap is available. Another tip is to point the open jaw to walls as they travel against walls.
