What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this mulch for exceptional weed suppression, moisture retention, and natural red-brown appearance. Reviewers consistently note it keeps weeds away, retains soil moisture effectively, and maintains attractive color without artificial dyes. Many describe it as reliable, easy to spread, and long-lasting, with several citing years of repeated use. The natural pine scent and aesthetic appeal are frequently commended. A small number report inconsistencies in particle size, noting occasional large chunks or overly decomposed material between batches. Despite these minor concerns, most customers consider it a dependable, effective choice for garden beds and landscaping.

Never again.
Would Not RecommendI've used two bags of this recently. The first bag was fine. As I used the second bag, I started seeing bits of plastic bag, a bigger bit of fabric, and then finally a large metal bolt. Never again.
Better for flower beds
This mulch is a finer grade with less shredded scrap wood which is often seen in cedar mulch

Price is good -- very competitive.
Would RecommendThis is my third year using this bark mulch. The color is good -- natural dark brown, the size of the pieces is appropriate for a flower garden surface - not too large chips or chunks, and not so small that it rots instantly . Keeps weeds away and helps retain moisture in the soil nicely.

Size varied tremendously
Would Not RecommendSize of mulch varied by bag. Some was 1/2” chips and others were 2-3” bark nuggets. Now our yard looks uneven and patchy. Terrible quality control!

Just what you need.
Great, basic mulch! I don’t like colored mulch and prefer it “raw” without color added (like red, black or anything else). It looks great in the yard and around the flowers in the garden and helps reduce the amount of unwanted plants.

Love the look and feel!
Would RecommendI switched to this mulch after years of using the classic cheap Scott's colored mulch. I'm so happy with my choice to switch - this natural color looks much more harmonious with the plants and the size and shape of these pieces spread nicely.
