Much Brighter light

These do the job well, excellent repellant if no wind is blowing and the light is much brighter than earlier models.

I have had this for a couple of years. We use it on our front porch and we also carry it to friends for outdoor use!. Great features!

a little light and lots of mosquito repellent

Bought about 6mo ago and often camp out near swamps here in Florida and when the canopy is swarming with mosquitos the two Thermacell lanterns are turned on and its gets clear and livable around our outdoor picnic table. Great product, highly recommend for campers who like the outdoors and only go indoors to sleep.

I bought this product a year ago used it numerous times and have not been bitten by any biting insects. Love it!

Jury is still out...

My son brought his to my campsite in VT and the flies and mosquitos dispersed, so I ordered my own. I have only had one opportunity to use mine and it was not as effective, perhaps because there was a breeze that may have dispersed the repellent. I will try it again when I go camping in a few weeks...still hopeful.

Awesome Product!! Bright light and No Bugs

If you want super bright light and keep the bugs away the camo lantern is your baby! It even has SOS if you get in trouble! Use it for fishing, tracking, working on car, skinning buck, or just showing it off to friends! It is a great product!

Money well-spent

I have used my Camp Lanterns the past two Spring''s and Summer's. I can't think of one thing that could make them any better. Functional, practical and necessary if you want to enjoy the outdoors.

Best of both worlds

I won't go outside without my ThermaCELL as I hate bugs...This not only repels the bugs perfectly but also lights up the area you are in! Highly recommend this if you do anything in the outdoors...

Great features

I bought the lantern for camping and found I use it for more than camping. I highly recommend it to anyone who camps or fishes.

Super-effective

We were surrounded by Blackflies and Mosquitos around our campfire. Within 10 minutes of lighting the repeller, they were gone. Great product!

Good for patio

I bought this instead of fly tape and more pesticides. So far it works on keeping mosquitoes away but not very effective on flies (which is what I bought it for). Flies are still all over patio while lamp sits on my table:(

Works as great as friends said it would!

Took it for the 1st time last weekend camping. We stayed deep in the woods at Dunewood Campground @ Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. When I got home Sunday night I ordered 2 more. A ThermaCELL MR-GJ Mosquito Repeller, the holster, and a ThermaCELL MR-9SB Mosquito Repellent Pest Control Outdoor and Camping Cordless Lantern. Yes! They're that good!

A Bright Light

The previous ThermaCELL lanterns were nice but never bright enough. This new one is great. It could only be improved by adding a remote feature. I'm not totally convinced the repellant pad actually lasts 12 hours, but I have seldom ever had the need for 12 continuous hours of protection.

Repels mosquito's until it breaks

I have been a proponent of thermocell products for many years. I have recommended them to many friends and strangers but this lantern is not very durable. The lighter button broke after moderate use after two years and cannot recommend this model. I have another one of the same model, let's hope it last another season.
