Trailer Decling

I used these to fasten the 2x6x12 decking to my trailer. Had to predrill pilot holes because the self tapping screws wouldn’t self tapp. Also popped the heads off a couple of the screws Looks good but a bit concerned about dissimilar metals... aluminum screws in steel frame. It the screws start to break off I will refasten the boards with steel screws from the local trailer manufacturer.

Last resort only

I used these to re-deck a utility trailer. Lowe's hardware rep recommend them. I drilled pilot holes for each screw and still wound up using two screws for each hole as the first one would burn up before threading. In other words, I had to do twice the work and use twice as many screws as I should have. The only reason I give two stars is because I was able to complete the job.

Works very well when attaching wood to metal frame.

Worked good for what I needed. If going through thicker metal you will definitely need to predrill your hole

Good for a multitude of uses

These work.great. Sometimes I miss the quality of American made products as these will break under heavier applications. But they start and work well enough for most applications and the self tapping aspect is very handy.

Could be better

Well I bought these for my trailer floor due to the fact there self tapping but I had to pre-drill a hole for them because the head were breaking off! Other than that they hold strong!
