What Customers Are Saying
The product has mixed performance. Some users report the anchors work well and are easy to install, but many others experienced issues with the anchors breaking or stripping the concrete, especially under higher torque or resistance during installation. The quality and durability appear inconsistent, with some users reporting a high failure rate. Recommendations include using a hammer drill and longer drill bit, and avoiding overtightening the screws. The product may be suitable for light-duty applications but may lack the strength and reliability needed for heavier-duty projects.

Would Not RecommendTotal Garbage! As described in other reviews (see VABuilder), these anchors are highly prone to breaking. Any excess torque or the slightest bit of resistance during install causes these to snap just above the threads. About 80% failure rate for me. Tapcon tries to compensate by requiring a 3-1/2" depth bit. Older boxes even say 4-1/2. Doesn't matter; they still break.
Reliable
Would RecommendAlways reliable for all your concrete anchor needs.

Maybe 1/3rd strip.
Would RecommendEasier to install than a lead anchor, but but as good.

Did the job. Hold tight and grip well.
Would RecommendI had 2 snap off and figured out that I was applying too much torque. Once I slowed the drill down, they went into the drilled concrete just fine and hold well. I'm 71 years old and drilling dozens and dozens of tapping holes in concrete is no easy feat for me anymore. But the sole plate is down and I can now move on!

Easy to use tapcon
Would RecommendThe hardest part of using tapcons is drilling the hole in concrete. After the hole is drilled, installation is a cinch.
