Just as described. Does the job of holding outdoor patio covers. Sturdy and everything stays dry.

Nice Looking Deck Box, Some Cheap Parts

I purchased a new Suncast deck box from Lowes. The second box has replaced metal spring shock with a plastic spring shock. The plastic spring shock rubs when you open or close the box. When attaching the nuts to the screws, there is not enough room to attach a plier/wrench/socket to the nut to tighten them. Very poor design.

Decent Design; Flimsy Fastening; Some Rework Neede

As many have said, the assembly was a little challenging, but if you RTFM, it's straightforward. The sides and bottom snap together easily. All the oval screw holes were the right size, but I had to bore out all of the round ones to accommodate the screws. I also had to grind about an eighth inch from the corners of the long sections of the hinges in order to allow them to fit the spaces for them in the cover. This was all pretty easy, but it points to poor design execution by the manufactur...

Ok quality. Difficult yo assemble.

Aggravating to put together! The screws were very difficult to drive through the plastic even with a power screwdriver. Then, when adding the hydraulic piece, it ripped the other screws out and I ended up not using the hydraulic at all. All in all it took me two hours to assemble.

Good product poor instructions. Gave up once, breathed, noted that hinges have many holes for fastening and the raised central hole is.not the one to be used.

Putting in the hinge is not explained well!

I love how my six cushions fit easily. Putting it together apparently you need a degree because it’s not easy & the how to doesn’t make any sense…

Do not buy this brand

Came without directions. Finally printed them from the company web site. Still not totally assembled.

Cheap thin plastic

The screws (missing 4) are to hold very flimsy hinges connected to very thin plastic. Absolutely NOT worth the money

Pleased overall with Java Plastic Deck Box

Concerns: The product arrived promptly but when I noticed that the shock that facilitates the lid closing and connects to the hinge was missing. I contacted the 800 number and they shipped it quickly. Also, there isn't a good design of the upper area of the hinge that connects with the screws to the small area of the lid plastic. The screws barely are secure so I applied appropriate glue to secure the hinge to the lid appropriately. Positives: Other than the above, the size, utility and quality ...

Terrible Instructions

Looks nice once assembled and it’s yet to be seen if it’s actually waterproof, but I’ve never seen a product more cheaply made. The fact that it includes a flyer saying “having trouble? contact us before returning” should have been a dead giveaway not to even attempt at assembling it and just return it. Steer clear of this one and buy one of the many other options available

Screws stretch the plastic - not sturdy

The piece appears to be well made until you screw in the joints at which point you’ll notice the screws protruding through the plastic. I give it a few uses before they completely tear out of the unit. I assembled exactly as instructed, the piece just isn’t as thick as needed to support the screws. I do not recommend this product.

Lid Nightmare

I was so excited to add this bin to my collection for my pool towels but the lid is defective. I should have read all the reviews before buying this product. Putting this together was easy until you get to the lid. After several hours of wasted time the lid doesn’t align. This is a waste of money and you should find another product. I

Instructions are kind of sketchy

This thing is huge! It went together fairly easily and looks good on my deck next to my chairs. At first I thought the size might look too big for my chairs, but it all goes together very well. I purchased this to hold cushions and it hasn't let any water in, so that's a very good thing. It's large enough that I will probably use it through the winter to hold fire wood!
