Exactly what we needed.

We ordered this box to store pool toys and it worked out perfectly. We have two other Suncast boxes used for cushions and pool equipment so we knew the quality was there. One good thing about this storage box is the safety hardware that prevents the lid from slamming down on fingers.

Just okay

Looks great but functions poorly because the lid would JUST NOT WORK with the hinge. Once assembled the lid would not close with the hinge. Was impossible to shut. Took it apart and reassembled 3x and still would not close. We now use it unsatisfactorily without the hinge, we removed the bolt and it just hangs there.

Great storage!

This box does exactly what we needed - gives us a great place to store our furniture cushions when it rains. I have it on our lanai, so I can't say if it is waterproof and well sealed. But it looks great, and serves the purpose. I have 6 large, puffy cushions in it along with a few other things. I did find putting it together a little challenging. Great box- easy assembly

The reviews scared me so I was hesitant to buy this box. Problem was - there’s nothing else out there at this size. These boxes are hard to find. Needless to say I took my chances despite a lot of the poor reviews and bought it. It took me about 30 mins to put together. I followed the directions exactly and it went together perfectly. No issues whatsoever. The fit and finish is perfect. It’s very sturdy and well made.

Quality Control and Customer Service Needs Work.

Last week, I purchased this box online for curbside pickup. When I arrived at the store I called the pickup line 3 times before someone picked up the phone. When this box was brought out to be put in my trunk, surprisingly it was a floor model. The Lowes staff member rushed it into my trunk. After getting home I inspected it more closely and the lid hinge was installed incorrectly. Quality Product and Easy Assembly

Don’t believe the reviews that say it is difficult to assemble. Anyone with basic mechanical skills and an ability to read and follow directions can put this together.

Do not buy this!

I had not read the other reviews here before I purchased it. Having read them after the purchase, we were informed of the extreme difficulty most people had in the assembly. When we got to screwing on the hinged lid, we discovered they gave us the WRONG SIZED nuts to go with the screws. So out I went to Home Depot to buy the correct size. Defective product

Impossible to assemble. The hardware does not fit. The scissor hinges are just a bit too long to properly fit in the channels on the lid panel causing the scews to align with the very top of the hinge and they immediately stripped out during the next step in the assembly. The one set of nuts suppied do not fit on the bolts provided. I tried using a socket wrench in one hand with a screwdriver in the other and still could barely move the bolt on the nut. VERY low quality

I did not recieve all of the needed parts, and after finding substitute parts at a local hardware store the box still does not stay together. Falls apart constanly and the hinges stick so badly that the spring had to be removed so that it would close.

Great box but hinges were a problem!

great deck box after putting it together. First no installation instructions in the box, had to go Suncast's website. You need a 90 degree tool.

Withstood 6 days of rain

Put together in less than 1 hour. After 6 days of continuous rain, sun is out and cushions are dry. Raining again, will check when it stops again.

Assembly instructions very poor and hard to follow. Instructions dont make clear proper assembly. Best to just use without hinges and brackets.

thin and chinsy

The hinge bracket of this box is held on by 4 half inch screws which screw an eighth inch steel bracket to a thin hollow piece of plastic, the screws ripped right out of the thin plastic while I was assembling it. You would think , for the money, it would have a little thicker plastic at the mounting points. I'm taking it back.

Works as expected

Assembled and on back porch. Time will tell if it deteriorates or fads due to harsh Florida sun.

Very hard to put together!

This storage unit is similar to many other storage units available in many stores. However, when we tried to put it together, following the instructions, we were frustrated by the bad instructions: the different screws, nuts, etc., for the top with the hinge were mislabeled, which made it very difficult to finish.
