Would RecommendI'm NOT handy, so I know that any assembly will be a challenge. Instructions are good. I made mistakes, but I re-read the instructions and fixed them and ultimately assembled exactly as instructed. Go slow, its easier to fix mistakes. Finished product exactly as expected. A bit pricey for the size, that's why a 4 star and not review.
Just what I needed!
Would RecommendPerfect size and color. Fairly easy to assemble. Fits all my outdoir seat cushions.
plastic and screws don't mix
Would Not Recommendthis is a good size for cushions a d it looks nice. the problem is the lid. putting screws in thin plastic is a guaranteed fail. the screws would not hold the hinges. every one of them came loose. I finally gave up and just use it with the lid detached which works fine. but for $130 it should be better quality.

Lid issues
Would Not RecommendPerfect size, but the screws for the lid inside plastic area were too short and ripped out as there was not enough solid space to grip these screws. The lid ripped off after 2 weeks. Taking it back.

Poorly designed hing.
Would Not RecommendNice box. Plenty of room. However, the hydraulic hing is very strong. The screws pulled right out of the plastic lid. I wouldn't buy it again for that reason.

What a let down ..
Would Not RecommendI had high hopes for this Deck Box, even seeing some of the negative reviews. How bad can it be, right? The shape and size are just right - exactly what I needed. The bottom and sides fit nicely together. The lid also fits well .. BUT .. There is very little material for the hinges to fasten to; and the gas strut (lifter) is far too strong for the thin plastic that it attaches to. We left the "lifter" off, but now the lid just flops back when you open it. Bottom line, I doubt this deck box...

This box will hold cushions fir a loveseat or two chairs but nothing else. Top fits securely so no leakage in rainy weather!

Incorrect instructions and hardware
Would Not RecommendThe product requires both regular nuts and locking nuts for the right side hinge. But, the only locking nuts are provided and the instructions for the right side hinge do not distinguish between the different type of nuts needed. If you try to put this together using only the locking nuts that are provided, you will fail. You’ll need to run to the hardware store for additional nuts to properly attach the bolts that hold the spring shock on the right hinge.

Better Engineering
Would Not RecommendAlthough this appears to be a very simplistic container to assemble, it can be a nightmare due to the hardware. The screws provided are entirely too short to withstand the pressures of opening and closing. Once assembled, the stress on the short screws caused them to pull loose. For the price I would have expected much better. It goes back tomorrow.
