Different shades

I ordered 15 boxes of tile for a bedroom. The guy was starting to lay them out and found they were different shades. 11 boxes had one shade 4 had another and 1 had another shade. When it was unloaded they all had the same product number. It wasn’t until he was laying them out that he noticed the difference in shades. Looked on the box and three Diffendale number codes for shade of tile. Ridiculous

Many cracks

My tile is under a year old. I loved how it looks but so disappointing. It is developing many cracks and chips and located in my kitchen. I had it professionally installed I just don’t know what to do at this point, but probably take a loss and have it removed.

Not for a beginner

I read the previous reviews about tiles being difficult to cut yet knowing we were hiring an experienced tile installer, I wasn't too concerned. But even he had a difficult time cutting around the pantry door and the floor registers. He said the tile was extremely brittle and were cracking as he cut them with a water saw. Breaks non stop but looks pretty

This was a tile installers worst nightmare. Numerous boxes broke and added tons of time to our shower remodel. Had to keep finding the same dye lot.

Don't buy if you have any tricky cuts to do

As mentioned in many reviews, it's a nightmare to cut. Straight cuts are manageable, so if you only have straight cuts you might be OK. Just buy more than the recommended 10% extra to allow for breakage. If you have any tricky cuts (curved tub or shower enclosure, etc), forget it! I have the best tools, and this stuff breaks/chips/cracks like nothing I've seen before. Also, the variation in width and length between tiles makes it impossible to get a consistent narrow grout line. I gave up h...

Nasty tile

I'm a tile installer with 30 years experience. This tile is the one of the sorriest tiles I've had to install. The product will jump in sizes in the same box at over a 1/8 inch. It shatters when trying to make cuts. Very disappointed in this product and very had to provide a good job with it.

Be Careful of Significant Color Variation

I installed these and they went down fine and seem to be rather durable, but upon completion, found that the color varied significantly on some of the tiles giving the floor a checkerboard type look. Really disappointed in the variation--all tiles have some, but this was significant.

looks good, hard to work with, buy extra

Overall, I am happy with this tile. My contractor said it broke easily and was hard to work with. He had to buy extra to complete the job. Luckily, there was plenty in stock. We used it on the walls in a shower that we converted from a tub/shower combo. We ran a band of the smaller version for an accent and used "silver" grout.

Awesome Tile

I just want to say for all the reviews that say you can't cut this tile or make holes in it are wrong. We used this tile for our shower and my contractor had his 16 year old partner cut it on a wet saw and never had a problem with it chipping or breaking you just got to take your time and go slow. Shower turned out beautiful

Great looking tile

bought this tile spontanoulsly and after couple of years i still love it

Perfect Color

This tile was perfect for our small bath. Our bathroom is gray and this worked great with the color scheme. We didn't have any problems with the color but we only had 50 square feet of tile to lay. I would recommend this!

lots of surface cracks

purchased 20 cases initially. while installing noticed many of the tile has surface cracks. Of the twenty cases purchased I returned three cases due to cracks (all just off center or two inches off of the sides) Had to purchase three additional cases to finish job. Beautiful Floor, Uniform Appearance Looks GORGEOUS

We purchased this floor for the large kitchen in our home, and for the smaller kitchen in our rental. It looks absolutely gorgeous in person. We did not have any issues with size variations or color uniformity. We get compliments like crazy. I would highly recommend this tile for its durability, beauty and insanely good price! We couldn't be happier and will DEFINITELY purchase more of this same tile for upcoming projects in basement, foyer, and another bathroom remodel.

Poor quality

Our tile layer informed us of the bad quality and inconsistency of the tiles and unfortunately the floor dips and bows. Very disappointed. Already chipped due to this fact, from moving our refrigerator back into place.

Beautiful tile, no problems!

I was very skeptical about this tile because of the reviews. My husband put this in with no problem. No chipping or breaking. He used a diamond blade on a wet saw. 1/16” grout lines with Timberwolf unsanded grout. *Make sure to buy boxes with all the same batch number.* We had no issue with color variation.

Like it very much...

I have now used this tile in two tub surrounds, and four floors. Disclaimer: I am not a tile setter, just an advanced DIYer. As to the tile being hard to cut...I cut it with a wet saw. Chips easily

This tile chips easily on the edges. There us also a stress fracture on one of my tiles that is starting to worsen. This was professionally installed in my kitchen with pewter grout. I have had it a year. If you drop anything like a can it is prone to chip your tile. I paid almost $4/sq foot on a 144 sq ft kitchen. It was all a waste. Horrible

We re did our kitchen over 2 years ago. When I picked out this tile I loved it. Fast foward too now, the surface of the tile it is cracking and peeling. Now we are going to have to redo our kitchen floor again! I have to cover it up with an area rug until we can afford to redo it. We are so upset over this. Dont waste your time and money :(

Please read the negative reviews and you'll see home owners and contractors alike saying the tile breaks when cut. This is not a myth as Lowe's tries to blow it off as. This is a defect that they refuse to acknowledge. Read Lowe's response to these complaints. You need a great contractor for this tile!

My contractor gets 5+ stars for working with this nightmare. He’s the reason I’m able to give it 3 stars at all. It should be lower. In all of his years working with tile, he said he’s never seen anything like it. The widths are inconsistent. The lines are not level, and it is extremely difficult to cut. He had a wet saw; no way it would’ve worked with a simple tile cutter. What should’ve been a 2-3 day job will take over a week to complete. The only saving grace for this tile was my contractor....
