What Customers Are Saying
The Studor Mini-Vent Air Admittance Valve is a plumbing solution that helps eliminate odors and improve drainage. Many customers report it effectively solves issues with slow drains and sewer gas smells. The valve is easy to install and provides an affordable alternative to roof venting. However, some users experienced problems with the valve not functioning properly, leading to continued drainage issues or increased odors. Overall, the Studor valve may be a good option when traditional venting is not feasible, but customers should carefully consider their specific plumbing requirements.

Choices
Would RecommendI could have bought the cheap version for $6.99 but when it comes to plumbing drain and vent lines, the last thing I need is a unit that isn't built to a standard and a building inspector shaking his pointed finger at me, well that and junk coming out of an indoor vent under my kitchen sink. I don't know how it works, kinda like an automatic transmission; but they do and life is groovy thus far.

The real thing.
Would RecommendIt cost more but it's the real thing. Works a lot better than the cheaper knock offs. Plus you don't need to buy other adapters this is glued right on the pipe.

Wow, really worked
Would RecommendGreat product! Installed under my kitchen sink. The sink works better now than it ever has.

Not large enough
Would RecommendOk if you have no other option. It does not allow enough air when open. If you use it with a double sink, and one side is filled, the other side drains like a partially stopped up drain even when the water runs directly from the faucet down the drain.
Solution for a plugged vent stack
Would RecommendThis purchase was for a replacement for the same item bought many years ago. The old one was working ok but with a new trap it seemed right to put in a new vent. The original, and continuing, purpose of this vent was to solve a problem with poor flow in the drain line cause by a problem with the roof vent stack which could not be completely unplugged. Use of this easy to install air admittance vent took care of the problem even though it is installed under the sink in the house, there is no prob...

Save a lot of work plumbing shower vent
Would RecommendThis product save me a lot of work not having to plumb shower vent into ceiling/roof vent system. I also purchased the Recess Box which I installed in the wall studs and the removable vented panel draws air in and threw the Air Admittance valve. All up to local code and the vent valve can be replaced if needed. Somebody put some thought into this.

Mini Air Admittance
Would RecommendUsing this in our crawl space at a tub drain that was not draining properly. Has taken care of the problem. I may have to switch out to a 2" line (1 1/2" line is what is in place currently) if I continue to have hair clogging the 1 1/2" line. FYI, I was having problems with the line draining soon after installation because of too many elbows in the line. The vent was not able to work properly because of the elbows, the air admitter took care of that issue. The hair, I need to shave my kids heads...

Good In Limited Spaces
Would RecommendThis product was easy to install in the limited space that was available to me, and it worked perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone in need of an air admittance valve.

Worth the money
Would RecommendThese more expensive vents are worth the money, if the vent is in your house and you have a problem with sewage smells in your house. Builder of our new home used the $3 version of the vent, and the bathroom smelled like sewage. I had to wrap a plastic bag over the vent to keep the smell under control, until I could get this better vent that keeps the smell out of the house. Of course the plastic bag kills the idea of the vent; = allow air to the vent line. So go with the $20 vent, and don't che...

Always good, but you have to ask for it
Would RecommendThis is not an easy product to find. Many hardware stores and even some home improvement stores don't know what you're talking about. I've used ten of these in the last twenty years and they always work. Fits inch and a half or two inch pipe which is convenient. Never had a problem with a spring wearing down.

Nice package with all the options.
Would RecommendBought this for use in my basement to add a new laundry tub. It gave me the flexibility to install the vent where it was needed and with the hook up options I choose. I bought another one for a different project and have several other throughout my house. Makes plumbing a breeze.
