This mailbox is the 2nd one since the 1st was hit
Would RecommendThis is the 2nd same mailbox I've had. The first one lasted about 10 years, and would have been just fine still, but, was hit by a 99 year old driver who was swatting at a wasp inside the car. He veered off the road a bit and hit the mailbox. The wood 4" x 4" mailbox pole was broke off right at ground level, and mailbox itself was in pieces. Love the mailbox, and bought a 2nd one to replace it.

The two magnetic flaps included did not fit, rendering the mailbox unusable. Either they were from a different model, or the upper plastic portion was out of spec.

Good mailbox. Poor installation instructions!
Would RecommendThe mailbox is good, not much really you can say about a mailbox, however the installation instructions leave a bit to be desired. The instructions say you need 36 inches of 4X4 post above ground to attach the mailbox to. They even say 32 inches is too short, make sure you have 36 inches. In reality, I left 36 inches above ground and it was 4 inches too long!!! You need 32 inches above ground to properly install the mailbox. I had to cut off 4 inches off the post with my saws all after it w...
