Not what I expected

As soon as I pulled from the box I tried to open the front door and it broke right away. The replacement doors are on back order so the mailbox is just setting in storage

TERRIBLE NEW DESIGN

I had a Step 2 mailbox for years, however after 20 or so year the magnets rusted and the door broke off. Despite the age I really liked the box and was happy to find what I thought was the same box. I ordered the #545200 box thinking it had the same internal capacity. The outside size was the same but the inside could no longer hold an 9 x 12 envelope with out it being folder therefore destroying photographic or other items that SHOULD NOT be folded. Mailbox

I love the look and style of the mail box. The previous owner backed into and broke the bottom of the old one. Would have given product 5 stars but because I only needed the bottom but had to purchase whole thing and it didn't come with pole that was needed to hold box I had to take off a star. It just so happened that the wood pole from the last box was still in ground?

Best choice on the market!

This mailbox, had one at previous home, lasts forever and still looks great. Big enough to hold small packages, saving the mailman time and steps. All metal boxes rust, dent and break....not these! A great product.

This is a replacement. My 15 year old Mialmaster Plus was hit by a car.

Great product

We have purchased 3 of these over the years. They go together reasonably quickly-directions are very easy and straightforward. Digging the hole is probably the toughest job.

beyond expectaions

I don't know how long this mailbox has been here, we moved here is 2015 and inherited it. It was it by a truck in the night and thought we had to buy a new one as the post part was gone. it was since found about a mile down the road "in one piece" even the 4x4 inside the post cover was ok,. The police said it must have been caught under the vehicle, even the ground post was still attached but very bent, just a small ding on both sides of the cover was visible from the impact (hit head on) Clean...

Easy install

Very easy install and if my post was wood would have been easier...is a concrete 4x4 post. Was able to modify holes. The PLASTIC however seems to be very soft and we'll see how this looks in a couple years. It came out of the BOX scratched and hadn't notice until I was mounting to the post.

Could not be happier. Ordering online was quick and easy, and installing the mailbox was simple. I was actually replacing an older model Step2 mailbox that was damaged by a snow plow, so the 4x4 wood post was already in place. Very pleased with the experience.

17 Years Battered but not Beaten

I have had my MailMaster Plus Mailbox for 17 years. It has been run over by automobiles four times and a mobile home once. I just keep putting it back together and beating it back into shape. I couldn't ask for a better mailbox. Thanks.

Love it!!

I really like my Step2 Mailmaster. It has been knocked apart by a drunk driver, which snapped the top off but didn't break anything. It has also weathered about 20 years of Michigan winters and is still in near perfect condition. This past winter the door must have come open and the snowplow popped it off and took it away "somewhere." Received a new door and metal clip and here's the only problem I've ever had with this mailbox. There are tons of instructions on how to mount the door to the mail...

Worth Replacing

Good design, solid construction. We had a problem with vandals breaking and burning. Hopefully this latest replacement will survive. [the vandals have grown up and now have mailboxes of their own] We thought about a different design but opted to stay with the Step 2 MailMaster Plus Mailbox. We like it. It keeps the mail and newspaper dry in inclement weather.

Comes with numbers,but........

Why only three of each number on a two sided box? If you need two of the same number on each side your outta luck!

I haven't installed this Item yet. I'm replacing a Step 2 that has been in service for 20 years ! ! ! !
