Best mailbox ever

We purchased our Step2 mailbox 25 years ago. We live on a busy road in the country. Our mailbox has survived snowy winters, snow plows and a direct hit by a delivery van during which the entire mailbox was lodged beneath the van and dragged a mile down the road. We dusted it off, replaced the wooden post and kept on using it. Other than some scratches, it was perfect. Great Mailbox - Easy to Install

The Mailmaster Plus is a terrific mailbox. It protects the mail and newspapers from all the elements - rain, snow, ice. This mailbox is easy to install and looks great. Previous models that included two newspaper compartments had a wider mail container and that easily accommodated delivery of most packages delivered by the USPS. I wish a mailbox model was still available with the wider mail container. I would rate the Mailmaster Plus at five stars if the wider model was available.

This mailbox is extremely appealing and perfect for all of the varieties of correspondence we receive daily. It is sturdy, easy accessible for our carrier and the rear entry keeps you safe from traffic. Installation is simple and all parts are perfectly matched.

This is our third mail box from Step2. They are strong, attractive and durable. Only had to replace due to cars hitting them.

Only Mailbox i could find to fit what we needed it for.

I purchased this Mailbox for the business I work for. It has a larger capacity for items like legal size envelopes etc.. We receive a lot of this type of mail daily and this is a plus as the mailman doesn't have to bend/fold the larger mail items in order to get them to fit in a standard size rural mailbox. You should advertise this mailbox as such. I believe it will fit our needs very well.

Excellent mailbox with a great price

I expected a good mailbox, but was pleasantly suprised by this great one. Simple to install, sturdy, very good looking, and works flawlessly. I highly recommend it!

newspaper door lost

Got this as replacement and assembled it myself. Easy assembly, except newspaper back door just sits there. No way to secure it. First morning, wind blew that door into street and car ran it over! Now newspaper gets soaked and falls out often. Also, numbers need better adhesive. 7 months and they are coming off already. Solid design and good mailbox overall.

There is one design flaw to this box

Why did you make such a large box, that appears to be very durable and roomy, with such a cramped interior space. My old Rubbermaid box was smaller, overall, but did not have 2" thick walls. Larger parcels have to be bent or folded to get inside.

Mail gets soaked when it rains!

I thought that this would be an improvement from my old mailbox, however, whenever it rains my mail get soaked. This negates any positive features. Very poor design.

Solid enough product

This is replacement for a similar mailbox. I picked it because it looked pretty easy to assemble and install, which it probably still is. However, when I pulled it out of the box, the first thing the instructions say is you need two people to slide the mailbox part onto the base. This is because it's a really snug fit and one person needs to sort of pry the plastic base apart so it will be able to slide and grip onto the bottom of the mailbox. Then you screw it in. Mine is over 17 years old, very sturdy, nearly indestructible(kids tried), just had to replace the flag and door... I painted mine last month and broke the door clip taking it off-but would recommend this box...

Best mailbox ever!

Purchased this mailbox to replace an identical one that was finally looking tired after 13 years of service. The old one was still in perfect working condition, just started to fade in the Florida sun after all that time. Will look for another one 13 years from now!
