What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this potting soil for promoting healthy plant growth in containers, with houseplants, geraniums, vegetables, and flowers consistently thriving after repotting. Many highlight excellent value and competitive pricing compared to premium alternatives, with strong satisfaction driving repeat purchases. The built-in fertilizer is noted as beneficial. However, some reviewers report excessive large wood chunks resembling mulch rather than fine potting soil, and a notable cluster reports fungus gnat infestations in certain batches. Despite these concerns, most customers consider it an effective, affordable choice for container gardening.

BEST SOIL FOR RAISED BEDS
Helps Produce Showy Flowers
Would RecommendGreat composition and easy to plant with.
Not the best quality
Would Not RecommendThis mix is much heavier than the comparable product from Miracle Grow. There are lots of wood chips, sticks and clumps. It would be acceptable if you're potting up robust perennials that you've just dug, but for transplanting small seedlings,I would avoid it.
Soil smelled strange
Would Not RecommendDelivery was great. Soil smelled and looked a bit old. Very strong odor.
Wood Chipper Mulch would be a Better Name
Would Not RecommendI bought 4 bags of this Thursday, 4/2/2026. Brought them home and had to use them to plant potatoes in gowing bags. All 4 bags were 80-90% wood chipper mulch, with a little compost thrown in. Bone dry, I decided to use this for the bottom layer in the bags, but when I watered the bags, the water ran right through without moistening most of the "soil". Now I need to go buy real potting soil, probably from a different source, so there will be real soil in the bags.
