Cut it to length and made my own ends. Working good so far!

What I purchased was not Cat 6

The wire I purchased was not CAT 6. There is no separator in the middle of the wire required of cat 6. Unfortunately the box was opened and some cable was used so now I have to eat the cost plus buy some real Cat 6 and rewire.

Won't support needed speed.

I have other cables that are working at 550 mbs and when i sub in this cable it drops to 100 mbs at best. If that's all you need, the wire is cheap, if you need more, know you'll get what you pay for.

So many damaged sections...

I wired my whole house with CAT6 wall plates and Monoprice CAT6. Every single run works perfectly and several of the runs are 75-100 feet. When I built my offices, I had run out of the Monoprice cable and didn't want to wait several days for shipping, so I picked up this box from my local Lowes. Worst mistake. cat5 wire in cat6 box

After spending hours installing this product and troubleshooting, I called a pro out to see what was wrong. They quickly identified that this was NOT cat6 cables. Does not have the plastic guard running down the wire. This only supports 100Mbps not 1GB speeds.

Not CAT 6. No separator between the wire pairs.

This is not true CAT 6 ethernet cable. CAT 6 is supposed to have a plastic separator in the middle between the 4 pairs of wires to prevent crosstalk and allow higher speed data transmission. Other than the missing separator the cable looks OK and I will probably use it because I haven't found anything better locally. I am using it for PoE security cameras so should work OK for that purpose.

bad cable 80ft run

I bought this cable because I was in a pinch and regret it. jacket is thin cable twists and and will kink if you are not careful. After carefully running ~80ft painstakingly checking to avoid damage I hooked up my tester and was immediately notified of a wiring issue. long story short my tester pinpointed a brake/high resistance in ono wire ~10 feet in. Now I have to rerun the cable. At least this time it will be easier now that I have a $30 pull string ran.

needed a high-quality data cable for my DSL and this wire did the job fine.

Cat 6 Faster cable

4 independently twisted pair gives higher possible speed and less crosstalk. More expensive, but looks toward the future with fios.

All Wired Up

Needed some Cat 6 cable to replace some that was damaged by the installer of our security cameras. They refused to fix it so it was up to me. They ran staples through the cable. Cable appears to be good quality and worked fine with my tools. Installed R/J 45 ends, plugged it in and we were back in business. Would have liked to purchase a smaller quantity but this fit the bill and have plenty left over for future projects.

CAT 6 Ethernet cable

This 1000 foot box worked perfect for my project. I was able to pull the cable up through the wall and across my attic without any kinks. Worked perfect.
