Would RecommendThe claim that Southwire’s cable “isn’t Cat6” reflects a misunderstanding of the spec. Category 6 is defined by electrical performance—specifically 250 MHz bandwidth and 1 Gbps throughput over 100 meters—not by physical features like a spline. The key compliance metric is 24 AWG solid copper conductors arranged in four twisted pairs. Southwire’s Cat6 riser cable meets TIA/EIA-568 standards and is UL-listed. It omits the spline for flexibility and cost-efficiency, relying on tighter twist ratios ...
100', no tips, don't have to buy a large spool!
Would RecommendCable with no tips installed, for pulling through conduit etc and adding your own keystones or tips. Only 100 ft so you don't need to buy a large spool. Indoor, non-plenum.
Just "OK" quality cable
Would Not RecommendI ran out of my "go to" cat6 CMR on a recent job (Belden 2412) and picked up this reel off the shelf as I needed to complete the job. The PVC sheathing on this cable is noticeably stiffer (and was more difficult to pull through 1/2" ENT), and the color lines on the white conductors are ridiculously faint, making it easy to mix up the wires when terminating. At the end of the day, it got the job done, and lit up at GbE, but it wouldn't be my first pick in this category.

Fast Speed! Product that worked as expected!
Would RecommendPurchased to add several CAT6 connections in my garage office. Had zero issues getting it installed and speeds were great over 100+ FT. Will be buying more in the future when we drywall our full garage.
Good quality wire and insulation - easy to strip
Would RecommendThe product is just as good as it is advertised

Super Slow Speeds
Would Not RecommendThis cable supports super slow speeds. I can hook up another cable of the same length, on the same devices, do a speed test, and this doesn't even compare. 800MB/s with another cable, and 50MB/s with this. Sure it works, but I"m looking for speed, not just functionality.
