Would RecommendI bought the 40V chainsaw because it was on sale and have not had a chance to use it yet. I expect it to perform like other 40V chainsaws. I wish there was a carrying case option to purchase and not sure why one is not offered. It would be a lot easier to transport with a carrying case.

Would Not RecommendBought this saw two weeks ago after using my friends 40v Greenworks saw. The power behind this saw is unmatched. I was very surprised at the power. I have a large amount of saplings and small trees to cut and was excited have such a strong tool to do it with. HOWEVER: The plastic "nubs" that hold the bar in place were incredibly weak and have already worn through and no longer hold the bar in place. The bar swung upward......spinning the chain at my hand. Battery dies right after warranty expires
Would Not RecommendBought this a couple years ago. Nowhere near as powerful as a real gas saw but was fine for doing basic cleanup of small branches. First, even when new, the battery never got anywhere near the advertised run time. But like I said, it was fine for periodic yard cleanup. Then, literally a month after the 2 year battery warranty expired, I can't even cut through a 4" log with a full charge battery with it stalling out and blinking red with no power.
