What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this fence post bracket for exceptional strength, secure fit, and straightforward installation. Most highlight how firmly it holds 4x4 posts without any movement or wobble, with many describing it as delivering unmatched rigidity for decks, railings, and pergolas. The black powder-coated finish resists rust effectively. Installation is consistently called easy, with pre-drilled holes streamlining setup. Some note the fit is tight, occasionally requiring minor post trimming, but users frame this as ensuring a secure connection. Despite a few mentioning higher cost, the overwhelming majority confirms it performs exceptionally and exceeds expectations for stability and durability.

Would RecommendA extremely useful fence post base from Simpson , powder coated on a glossy black just place it and drill the holes don’t forget to use the right anchors , it definitely make it easier
Real time saving brackets.
Would RecommendIn the beginning I was a little nervous because of how lightweight and thin this was but once it was anchored down tight it held the 4x4 in place and best of all it was thin enough to take the sleeve.
Strong winds and it held
Would RecommendStrong winds and heavy weight keep still

Tight fit.
Would RecommendThese work great, just be careful when using close to the edge of a concrete slab. Being so tight, I recommend pounding them onto the post before mounting to the concrete. Install the four concrete anchors first then plumb post and screw in the lag bolts to the 4x4 post last. If the concrete slab is not level use treated wood to make shims.
