Ratings & Reviews for simplehuman Semi-Round Step Can with Soft-Close Locking Lid, 13 Gallon Mocha Plastic Commercial Indoor Kitchen Step Trash Can

Simple and perfect

I had an older version of this that broke during a move after being in use over 10 years. I bought a different can and didn't like it, so I came back to this one. Not only is it just as perfect, it has improved! Would highly recommend.

Great design

Nice look, designed well for good stability and the lid does close slow on its own, which I like. No loud banging. The lid lock comes in handy to keep out kids and animals. Great purchase with a reasonable price.

Worth the cost.

Excellent trash can, works great. Delivery was fast and trash container was all put together. I love that it’s quiet and doesn’t let odors out.

love it!

I bought the 50 gal in white to match appliances and I couldn't be happier.. I'm going to get a smaller version for our bathroom... Get one, you won't regret it =

The best!

We ordered an exact replica of the simplehuman trashcan that we had before because it keeps our sniffing dog at bay and we love the sleek look and hands-free feature. Thank you for another step can that we expect to last us for the next decade!

Exactly as described

Well built, attractive, functions well. It is exactly as described. Very happy with our purchase.

Perfect kitchen trashcan...

I looked everywhere for the perfect kitchen trashcan. This is it. It is exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend.

Even better 8 years later

We got this same model back in 2012. Eight years later, it was time to replace it. Everything is still the same, except the fixed the problem with the lid rubbing the wall behind it by attaching a bar that keeps the can pushed slightly away from the wall. Even better design than the original! So happy with this can!!

Awesome

I originally bought this because my dog kept getting in the trash so I was looking for a locking trash can. I had it for 4 years and it broke. It has a five year warranty so they replaced it. This is by far the best trash can I have ever had and the customer service was excellent. Thank you for all your great products and for backing them up.

Trash Can Success

The size of this can is great and it opens and closes well, it closes gently and quietly. It also helps retain any smells, so they don't sneak into your kitchen. I really like the look of it too.

Good trashcan

Good trashcan and if anything breaks, simplehuman's warranty process is very good

Perfect

Right size and color with ease of use. Delivered very well packed too. Thank you

Great product

Best trash can for the money. Didn't want to spend a lot of money on a trash can but wanted one that would work well. It definitely does it's job well.

Dog/Baby Proof

This trashcan has saved me any hours. If you are looking for an affordable trash can that has a lock and will last for 2-3 years. this is the trashcan for you. Company will stand behind their warranty and try to make your replacement an easy and fast experience. Will rate this Trash can 10/10 Affordability Weight Style

Very Quiet

overall the can does what it’s meant to do. It’s the exact color we needed. And also a very quiet close which was key in the office space. Lightweight and easy to maneuver. Good size so it holds quite a bit for an office space in break area. I think for a simple plastic can though, it’s a bit overpriced. I haven’t bought a trash can in like 10 years. Somehow trash cans went up in price. And there’s basically one company now that offers an array and that’s simplehuman. Looks like they cornered th...

Thought it had an insert

I purchased this online because my daughter had one and hers had a removable insert. Mine did not! Also read where it came with a sample pack of the custom fit liners. Mine did not. I got gypped but I like the can and the mocha color

Love it!

I researched for the best "dog-proof" garbage can and this product kept coming up, so I decided to purchase it. Well, I have had it for over 2 weeks, and I am glad I listened to the reviews. My dog is big, and quite good at getting in and out of things, however, he cannot undo the locking handle on this garbage can. He, originally, tried religiously to open the can up, but had to finally succumb to the fact it was not going to open. The can still looks new, no scratches or marks from my dog's at...

Impressive

I absolutely loved the product from the very beginning. I first saw it at my brother’s house and just had to have one. Unfortunately mine developed an odor after a few weeks. I called customer service and was told they would replace it immediately , no questions asked. I’ve had the replacement now for three weeks with no issues at all. This is a quality product backed up by impressive customer service.

Great Buy

We needed to replace out 50L semi round step can and naturally replaced it with one just like it! Love the look of this product as well as the workmanship. It even arrived earlier than the projected date.
