Nice as one unit

very nice function - looks good and cohesive as one unit with our existing can. Would be nice if it were just a little bigger - wider top.

I like the clean lines

I like the clean lines and that it is all white - blends in nicely with my white kitchen. I waiting for my outdoor composter to get here so I haven't used this product a lot yet. I do have some concern the lid isn't air tight and fruit flies might be able to get in and out or order might be noticeable - but I have to use it more to better understand that feature. So far I like the looks of it and the size.

We have 2 dog food canisters - one in each size. 2 hand soap dispensers (motion sensitive ) 2 shower shampoo etc dispensers (3 bottles and a 2 bottle)- And now the compost/food scraps container - because of the very high quality of the products.

Excellent compost caddy!

Such an elegant and lovely design. The stainless steal compost caddy is the perfect size to remove and collect scraps. The magnetic feature to attach to my larger Simple Human trash can is very convenient. Its slow closing top makes a great seal and keeps smells trapped. Highly recommended.

It's too small

It's very well made and nice to use but too small. It would be much better to have say 5L capacity.

Looks fancy

Very posh black compost bin. Keeps the smell in, and easy to clean. Kinda small/narrow but it’s good u must keep on top of iemotying it every 4-7 days.

I love this compost bin. It was a bit pricey compared to others but it functions better than others I have had and thrown out! Looks nice on my counter.

Perfect size for a daily compost bin

Like every Simplehuman product I've bought, this one is awesome! It is the perfect size for a daily compost bin and is easily attaches to my new 45L can. I just wish I could buy the broken plastic clip, that makes the lid function, for my 38L can.

Great so far, but with questions…

This is a well-made, stainless steel, compost caddy. I bought the white version to match with our new Simple Human white dish dryer, so the set looks great on our kitchen counters. The bags fit nicely on the inside without peeking out. We are filling it up, but haven’t reached the top or decided what exactly to do with the bag and contents yet. While some of the items might be good for my planters (tea leaves and coffee grounds), some might not be so helpful. So…do we trash the whole bag, knowin...

So convenient!

This is one of my favorite recent purchases! I love that the can is small enough to sit on my kitchen island, making it convenient to toss in orange peels and other compostable materials. For the frequency with which I need to replace the bags, it's larger than what I need, but for households of more than one person, I imagine it is perfectly sized.

Perfect size

We love our compost caddy. It is the perfect size to put on the countertop while we are preparing the food and then it fits nicely on the side of our trash can when are done with it.

Mixed feelings

The container itself is pretty cool. Fits well on my kitchen garbage bin, and keeps odors in. HOWEVER, the compostable bags compost inside the container in just a few days-one even split as I was opening it to replace a used one. They are clearly designed to be taken to a large compost bin immediately after putting something in them—so what is the point of having such a lovely container with bags when one must empty it immediately?
