fire danger?

we have sharp in drawer microwave oven in 1 of our houses for about 6 years and has been perfect..... but apparently a problem with recent model.... sharp not covering apparent problems.... no thanks...!!!

Broke right away

Loved the space saving a look but the soft open and close open broke first but still work just had to pull harder to open and close. Then the smell of burning started, then sparks and then small fire in chamber. We stopped using it and got a counter top. We are redoing the kitchen and want to fell the whole with another drawer microwave but don't know where to trust.

Bug inside screen

How does a bug get behind screen on this microwave???

FIRE HAZARD

Case Number 9394018. Unit came with the brand new house from the builder. Within a year, the unit almost burn the house down. After researching online.. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE! Contacted Sharp several time and keep being redirected every time. Sharp refuses to do anything about it. I will not buy anything from SHARP again, and will advise folks to take caution when purchasing any Sharp product.

Fire Hazard Don’t Buy

I purchased this and it worked for many years. It started sparking and burned a corner of the inside drawer. There is a class action lawsuit, but Sharp denied my claim because it’s been over 5 years. This should be a re-call. Ni I’m stuck because no other unit fits this space which was built around Sharp dimensions.

From start to finish from the ordering process to delivery and installation everything went perfect as promised in the machine operates well above my expectations

Lasted only 3 years - TWICE!

The first one's magnetron went out. The second one started acting up one evening. The next morning, it was just dead. DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN!

LOVE IT!

This is my second Sharp microwave drawer. My first one lasted a good 7 years. I absolutely loved it...never gave me any problems until the day it just wouldn’t heat up. My husband said it was the main component that went out and it would be more cost-effective to buy a new one. Here’s hoping this one lasts as long or longer!

Beware- Fire Hazard

It’s 1.5 years old and only gets moderate use of a few times a week. It creates a burnt plastic smell and I only microwave in glass Pyrex containers

Like many others, ours started buzzing occassionally at year 3, then eventually heard popping which led to smoke and the smell of an electrical fire.

Avoid it

I had a near fire too. It started sparking . I don’t get the people that say it is easy to clean... It’s nearly impossible to get your hand in many of the areas to thoroughly clean it.

5 years old and I still love it

I took a chance on the Drawer style microwave. I read the reviews and as a whole I thought they were negative. But I love mine. We use it daily. Cleaning the top of it inside is a challenge. Cover your food it's easier.

FIRE HAZARD SHOULD BE RECALLED

Same issue as all of the others. Starts buzzing and smoking. You'll be lucky if it doesn't burn your house down. No longer works at all. Sharp refuses to do anything about it since it's out of warranty. Called 5 times. Sharp claim number 9226081. Filed a complaint with the BBB. This is a known issue, do yourself a favor and search this model number on the internet, you will see the amount of complaints with the same issue. DO NOT BUY THIS USELESS GARBAGE. SHARP WILL NOT STAND BEHIND ITS PRODUCTS...

Drawer microwave

Love the fact that it opens at a touch of a finger and I don’t have to reach up over a stove. My grandmother who is 84 loves this instead pulling on handle to open a microwave or reach over. This microwave drawer Is so ideal for easy accessibility.

Died after 3 years. Rebuilt it and it died.

Completely went after 3 years. We only use it to reheat and that's maybe 2 times a week max. I was stuck because the whole in my new cabinet so I had it the two power boards replaced and they only lasted 8 months. This microwave is JUNK!!

Poor Quality

Very poor quality. Waste of $1000, only lasted 2 years before completely burning out. Now we have a $1000 kitchen clock.
