Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this washer outlet box for its ease of installation, reliable performance, and compatibility with push-fit connections. Most appreciate the no-torch design, smooth quarter-turn valves, and ability to retrofit existing plumbing without major overhaul. Reviewers consistently report leak-free operation and durable performance over time. The flush-mounted design provides neat, organized access. However, some note that knock-outs are difficult to remove without damaging the housing, and valve positioning can complicate alignment. A few express concerns about lightweight construction and long-term durability. Despite minor design challenges, most customers find it a worthwhile, effective solution for laundry room upgrades.

very cheaply made for the price
Would Not RecommendKnock out plugs do not come out clean and the plastic is very thin and flimsy. Because of this one of the valves is not seated properly and sits crooked in the fixture. The instructions on how to reconfigure the valves are unclear and had to google several videos to finally see how to remove them to move to a different position. the face plate did not sit flush to the wall so I used silicon to help hold it in pace, the plastic is so thin the silicone I used to fix the plate to the wall shows ...
Easy to use
Would Not RecommendHow easy it was to use to replace the old one that was broken.

Bad news from Shark Bite
Would Not RecommendValves assembled assuming side drain, so you have to unscrew the valves and flip the box to have a center drain (standard). The knock outs are hard to remove without damaging the plastic, so you end up with a valve that is in a "rounded" hole and nothing to really hold the valve in place. The drain on the center side is 2" instead of the standard 1 1/2" (on the preassembled side) so you have to install an adapter for the drain as well. Ideally a better quality plastic, valves left unassembled...

Can't split a line
Would Not RecommendNew dryers need a cold water line for a steam cycle. The adapter from the dryer provided is female, the outlet on the box is female. A 3/4th male adapter is too large. There isn't enough room under the nipple for the adapter to turn for tightening.

Very cheap box, expected more from the SharkBite.
Would Not RecommendThere definitely was not very many options when using Pex for this application, so I decided to try this product. The valves are of an ok quality for a ball valve, I expect they'll be troublesome after a few years. The box is the cheapest plastic they could have chosen, I'm my opinion. the box flexes easily, making applying any torque to the hoses during their attachment next to impossible. while following the directions to change the placement of the valves caused damage to the housing, cracks ...

Would RecommendI purchased this item to replace the aging outlet box in our laundry room as part of a larger renovation project. I am an occasional DIYer with no plumbing skills to speak of, so the prospect of making supply-line connections without soldering or crimping was quite appealing. I was able to remove the old box and install the new one in an afternoon. The box works as expected and looks great. It seems the primary complaint noted by other reviewers is that the box ships preconfigured for a left- o...

Buy Oatey
Would Not RecommendAs has been mentioned previously, the knockouts for the drain pipe doesn't work. I made the mistake of believing the directions. If I had it to do over I would use a 1 1/2" drill saw to cut out the drain hole. Flimsy plastic box. Now I wonder about other Sharkbite products.
