Lots of splits in 4x4s. Not screwed tight. It works. I added some additional outside wood screws to reenforce.

Would Not RecommendFirst the name, Brown Wood? It's just pressure treated lumber. Not "Brown" more of a "greenish, greyish, tan" like all treated lumber. Second, it had multiple splits (I ordered online, curbside dropoff), but it's a post, so, oh well. Third, it's a bit short, cannot get full 24" in concrete, and still have mailbox at 42" above ground. height from bottom of post to cross piece is 60", so with a couple inches of soil, I only got 16" in concrete. Not ideal. You'd be better off just building your own...
This mailbox post looked nice, but after about seven years it had completely rotted out where it was in contact with the ground.

Would RecommendI ordered several items online so I could pick them up without walking around much because of a disability. However, though the fine young lady who assisted me was as quick as she could be, by the time I started out to my vehicle to load and leave I was in some distress and paid no attention to this mailbox post.
