The only downside is there's no 1/4 setting and sometimes more granuales drop out from the hole. A little scary when spreading fertilizer. But overall a good decent product.
Doesn't work as advertised
Would Not RecommendGood only for grass seed and fine particles . Fertilizer jams up in gears making it hard to turn handle. Not intended for glandular fertilizer.

Would RecommendOur push spreader broke- and we downsized to a smaller yard. We decided to give this a try and it works great. If you have a huge yard, upgrade to a push spreader, or your hand will get very tired!

Would Not Recommendthis is a piece of junk .. what ever you are spreading it goes all over you .you have to hold it out a mile so it don't get in your face not safe. going back to the reg one and not knowing what brand to buy SCOTTs has bad ratings?????
Best Handheld dispenser I have found
Would RecommendWe have tried multiple dispencers over the years, most if not all get clogged the first day, not this one. Price was good so we gave it a try. Good comfortable grip and nice coverage. The trigger allows you to control the amount of salt to dispense.
