Ratings & Reviews for Scotts Broadcast Spreader 6.25-lb Capacity Compatible with Fertilizer, Seed

It’s a great product product and works as advertis

I had my eye on this product but t didn’t buy it until it was on sale. The product works well!

don't waste your money

quit working after 1 use

Powered Spreader Works Well

The battery-powered version of the spreader works well, but so did the hand-cranked version work well for many years, until finally the crank handle broke. Let's hope the drive train hold up better.

Scotts Broadcast Spreader

Ease of use and the time it takes to apply the fertiliser. I was able to apply evenly due to the convenience of not having to focus on rotating the handle . I would recommend to anyone who is planning to buy a spreader.

Another Scotts Junk Product

Wont spread over 1/2 full fertilizer.

Was filthy dirty and installed batteries were dead. Even with new batteries it did not aways want to spread fertilizer. Very weak motor!

Works as expected

Easy to use. Pick up was easy and quick. Great for grass seed, ice melt, and fertilizer.

Great price

Got this on sale for a great price and had $5 Lowe’s member credit… got it for $10 can’t even buy low quality manual broadcast spreaders that cheap.

Easy to use

Great spreader for a great price. This is super easy to use and has a great spread.

Compact and convenient

Good spreader that is nice and compact but does not require manual cranking

Convenience for small yards

Easy to use, fits in small spaces, battery operated and didn't have to worry about buying batteries since they're already included. Worth to buy and gets the job done.

Works well with calcium chloride pellets!

Fantastic! Gets my ice melt down much faster and better coverage!

Great and easy to use

I've used it dozens of times to spread grass seed and granulars. I still have not changed out the original Duracell AA batteries I put. It's more convenient than a push barrel spreader and well worth the investment.

Great Spreader for Smaller Areas

I bought this is help spread out ice melt during the winter. It worked great at covering my driveway and sidewalks, without having to constantly to scoop the ice melt up.

Good for what is intended for.

Easy to use. Used to spread icemelt. Wouldn’t recommend using it to spread anything with big chunks.

Bought to use with snow salt, meh

being automatic is a definite plus, makes for smooth application, the instructions are simple and I'm sure it will work better for seeds and smaller granules

Very light not heavy seed spreader recommend it so

I love this product very convenient and is not heavy

When I salted it did jam up every once In a while

Works great battery powered, I used to salt my driveway
