Ratings & Reviews for Scotts Turf Builder WinterGuard Fall 11.43-lb 4000-sq ft 28-0-6 Weed and Feed Fertilizer

Weedandfeed

Will know next spring if it works as stated on package.

It has had no effect on the weeds in my lawn.

I applied the Turf Builder to my lawn 2 weeks ago. I made sure lawn was watered before hand.I have yet to see any improvements on condition of my lawn . And the weeds have not stopped growing and attacking my lawn.I've used this before and gotten good results.I would not recommend buying this.

Shrinkflation

The product is great, but the 5K sq foot bag shrunk to 4k sq feet since the last time I purchased it. I’m sure it’s also more expensive, but I can not confirm. Either way, I mulled it over and I plan to return the bag I purchased and just let the weeds go wild. Wake up corporate America…our wages aren’t keeping up with your increases…there is a breaking point!

As described above.

The product was in the form of powder in lieu of granules. It was hard to control, it blew around in the breeze, & one needed a face mask to prevent breathing it in. I doubt if much landed in the grass as intended & doubt it will perform what it is intended to do at all this Winter. I have gone back to Scotts with a complaint. I have successfully used Scott's products for decades & have never experienced anything like this. Of course Lowes had NO fault in this issue.

It doesn’t kill weeds. Prevent them maybe?

Can’t tell the difference one way or the othe. But it certainly isnt killing any weeds.

Works great on southern lawn

Not for St. Augustine

This bag is not clearly marked for Bermuda grass

It’s Fertilizer

It is Winterguard. I can’t tell you how it worked until next spring and summer However, I want them to stop asking me to review it so here we are

Great product but expensive

It's a great product, however it's very expensive.

Got 3 bags 4,000 sq ft. Much easier to apply. With

Green replaces brown

Putting the grass to sleep

Perfect product for Winter fertilization

Expensive and clumpy. Seems to work.

Didn't like the lumps that required me to break up to flow through the spreader. 4 bags, and all suffered this problem. Found the price so high that I plan to research alternatives for next season.

Scott’s fan

We are a fan of the Scott’s products. Just put this down so I can’t give an honest review until next year but have had success with the other Scott’s options available.

Srinkflation

I bought this product yesterday and didn’t realize it’s only 12k sq ft a bag! Where’s the 15k? Same price but 20% less product. No good Scotts!
