Schlage has taken cost cutting too far

I bought 4. All defective. The deadbolt turn handle is not machined correctly and doesn't have enough clearance. The finish gets chewed up and it's very hard to turn the key to lock/unlock. And the door handles pop off when opening, because they are only secured by a small tab on one side. Trash.

Fit great besides the plate for the deadbolt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The door knob easily was able to be assembled much easier than the one I took off, but the plate was longer than the quick set double plate that was there prior so I’ll have to chisel it out in order to make enough space to be able to have it fit flush with the door, but regardless it will work just fine

Design failure poor quality leaves you trapped

Design failure from the start on the knob. Do they even test their products? Failure: the spring pin that holds the interior side of the knob is beveled as to accept the handle after removal however, there is nothing stopping the handle from pushing in just enough to depress the pin and with the slightest turn of the knob it slides off in your hand leaving you trapped from the inside. This is a safety hazard and Schalge should be recalled! Do not buy this junk brand/product as it is not the sam...

Better quality than the cheaper ones

I like that the dead bolt is only 2 pieces unlike one of the other manufacturers for a cheaper price. The cheaper one I had on for less than a month and the dead bolt I was having problems putting my key in. I will keep purchasing this brand because I don’t have an issue with it and have purchased this brand before.

Excellent Instructions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A screwdriver is all you need if your door already has the holes. I upgraded an old knob on my front door with only a Phillips screwdriver. My door did not have a deadbolt, so i had to drill my own holes for that part, but it was easy to get it exactly right because the instructions were crystal clear. Plenty of professional drawings in the instructions. A picture is worth a thousand words! I wish every manufacturing company would take lessons...

Great lock and doorknob

deadbolt is junk

There is barley enough lip on the deadbolt hardware to center it in the hole. The back side of the deadbolt is very thin metal. This company doesn't make things like they used to. A 5 min install is 10 min to break in.
