Runs Way Too Easily
Would Not RecommendI used is product several years ago when refinishing several metal cabinets and it worked really great. Now I'm refinishing a few more metal cabinets and the paint is very thin and runs way too easily. All but the lightest dusting of a coat and I get runs. They can be sanded out, but something has changed with this product since I last used it or I just got a bad batch. Not sure which.

Would RecommendI expected to be able to spray over this paint, a coat of glossy paint to get a glossy effect. It remained flat. Apparently, it needs to be sanded to obtain the result desired. I replaced it with RUST-OLEUM Paint + Primer, Ultimate High Gloss, which was easiest and better than expected in a shorter time.

Would Not RecommendI bought this product to prime clean metal as it is directed. It didn’t have good coverage at all and was super runny. It also wasn’t really adhering to the metal, it scratched off it super easily. I had to strip and restart. Just spend the extra couple bucks and get rustoleum’s pro primer instead. it’s much better!

Would RecommendThe adhesion seems to be effective although it’s too soon to tell. The product is unusually runny and needs to be sprayed very carefully and lightly. Seems to have a tendency to bleed through the topcoat. I had better luck applying this to the bare metal and then coat the automotive filler primer over it before applying the topcoat. Do not deviate from the 1/48 hour rule or you will see wrinkling.
